This mascara rocks in its regular form which I've had before, and admittedly I was sold on the gold packaging that makes me feel a little more like a rock star with each use.
It is creamy, dries quickly and is easy to remove.
I have cried, sweat, and accidentally rubbed my eyes without this mascara coming off too much. Pretty good considering this formula isn't the waterproof one.

Not worth it

I bought this when the Sephora I went to was out of the Atomic Volume. I asked a Sephora sales girl which mascara would be closest to the Atomic Volume mascara and she suggested this one. I absolutely HATE this mascara - it is very clumpy, gooey, and stays wet forever. It does NOT compare to the Atomic Volume formula is any way.

This is only getting 1 start because I had to give a rating. This product is awful! Goes beyond wet, gloppy and clumpy. Impossible to work with. Stays wet forever, leading to a mess all over your face if you're not careful. My store was out of my normal brand so I decided to give this a try. Wish I would have just gone without. My lashes would have looked better.

Quick Take: defining
This is the third time I have bought this mascara and I have read other reviews where people said that black mascara flecks end up under their eyes. I never had this problem until this third buy...
I usually use two or three mascaras layered. For the first time, I used it as my first layer of mascara and it happened to me. I got black flecks all under my eyes and on my face. I used it first a few more times first and it happened every time.
Trial and error- To avoid that, I use it last or second layered. Not as my first applied mascara. I still like it but probably won't buy again because I can't take it anywhere alone, knowing I will have to wipe my face after use.
I love the packaging, and I do like the brush as well. It defines your lashes and gets into the small lashes but I can find something else just as good.

I purchased this mascara because of the descriptions and the wonderful results the sales lady said she achieved but I should have known that it was over hyped. the brush loads too much mascara and clumps up. When I cleaned the wand and then applied it I got some volume but it clumped up like the rest. you're basically paying for the gold packaging. I will stick to Lancôme. This was way too much work to apply and too messy.

I have used other Sephora brand products & have been pleased with the product & performance. The Outrageous Mascara Gold Edition mascaras was absolutely the worst mascara that I have ever used! When removing the wand from the tube, the product was stringy & gooey. I wiped the excess off the wand & tried applying to my eyelashes which was a big mistake! The product clumped all my lashes together & I immediately removed it. I returned it back to Sephora for a full refund.

I agree with other reviewers that this is gloriously clumpy mascara. If you want defined but not clumpy, fake-looking lashes, pick a different one. I tried a bunch of the mascaras in several of Sephora's samplers and from my own experience, this is my go-to outrageous lash. They changed the shape and the name a bit - and it got even clumpier. I would use this in place of Lash DNA. If you want fine definition, you cannot be Lorac Special Effects Mascara. Don't be turned off by the image. The pink tip is the brush NOT the color of the mascara.

I have been on a lifetime journey it seems to find the perfect mascara. I gave this one a try. The pros are it is not dry, the wand helps to create volume. The cons are it does not wash off well. I go through more eye makeup remover with this. I would not say it is clumpy, but I think it goes on a little too thick. It definitely gives you volume, but not quite for me.

This mascara is amazing! Where ever I go people think I have fake eyelashes. I have long eyelashes this is perfect for long eyelashes it does clump it goes on smoothly amazing I love it!
