Too drying

I had to return this because it was drying and didn't last long at all. Nothing really lasts on my lips so I wasn't expecting much and was still disappointed. Still love the brand though and will continue to try new products.

Quick Take: drying, vibrant
Loved the great slim compact packaging. Looks sophisticated. Not much lipstick for the price. To top it off it was overly drying for a matte and did not last nearly as long as expected. Thus using more than you wanted. Which is quick since there isn't much in the tube. Will not purchase this formula again. You wold have to remember to put it on again right before meeting someone or before a picture. Will force your lip to peel or have some skin roll (sort of because of all the hard rubbing you've got to do to get this into a solid color) It's vibrant once you can do it.

Quick Take: hydrating
This lipstick is awesome. It has school feel when you glide it on. It stays on with some reapplication needed after eating or drinking. I own it in Nude and in the red color. Definitely a must have. Love layering these under the smash box lipsticks.

But the colors were just not right for me. Don't get me wrong the colors are beautiful and I really tried to like them on but it just didn't work. It smelled great and went on smooth and it very long lasting. I would have had to cover it with something else to blend so I didn't want to waste money doing that. May try again because its still a great product.

Quick Take: long lasting
I purchased this lipstick in punch. I usually purchase the buxom big and healthy lipsticks and wanted to find something brighter, but they didn't have what I was after. I tried this on in the store, and fell in love with the color. I was worried that with it being so bright it would smudge or come off and need reapplications. I have been using this for a few weeks now, and I have no problem with it staying put. I put it on, and I eat drink all day, and it stays. It is a little dry compared to some of those super wet lipsticks, but personally I don't feel like it is drying at all. I hate lipsticks and glosses that are tacky, or wet. I am definitely a fan. It is a nice bright pink, and works perfect with my skin tone.

Quick Take: hydrating
I like many other people like long lasting formulas but they dry out my lips this product doesn't. However i find it a bit streaky. Because I am latina I have a bit of color in my lips I use lip linear to create a base so the actual color shows. I bought the color nude and that might be nude for other skin tones but for me its a nice pink color.

So many lip tints dry. That is a fact. I wish Smashbox would bring back the tint and balm product from last summer. I used it all summer long without a problem. I thought this product would be a nice in-between replacement. I was very wrong. It looked dried out and terrible an hour after I applied it.

I love smashbox products and this lipstick doesn't disappoint.
I had purchased it in whirl (fantastic red-orangey tint) but wanted a truer red , hence color cerise.
I love how easy it goes on and the matte finish. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is that it is kind of drying.

Great Color, Not So Great Wear

Quick Take: highly pigmented, hydrating
This product gets points for being cool. When you apply it, you feel like you are, literally, coating your lips with water. It totally hydrates-- which is key for a "long wear" lip color. The pigment itself is fantastic. The store only had 4 or 5 colors, but they were all fun. The downside: it's not long-wearing. 3 or 4 hours at best. If you're just heading out for a little jaunt, this is perfect. But for a day at the office- expect to re-apply several times.

Nice color and long lasting

I have this in both Punch and Mulberry. The color is nice and covering. Punch is a bright pink with a hint of coral (at least of me). The Mulberry seems to change colors depending on what I am wearing. some days it is more of a brick red color, other days it seems more plum. Either way, it is still a pretty color. They originally go on a little shiny, but them fade down. by the end of the day there is still a hint of color left, and it does not leave the circle of color around you lips, it fades evenly.

Packin a punch this spring!

Quick Take: matte finish pigmented
I bought this in the shade 'punch.' It is a pop whiz bang in your face smooch smooch pink, okay? SO, not for everyone. Also, the picture of the girl wearing it in the Sephora store is not accurate. On her, it is definitely darker, prob mixed slightly with redpink lip liner...When you put this on your lips it feels like the lipstick is packed with water. But it dries almost instantly to a completely matte finish. The best thing about this lipstick, actually, is not the initial application, but the stain left behind hours later...if you want a super sexy punched up spring pink lip apply several coats, blot two or three times, and then go check yourself out a few hours later. You'll be like daaaaaaaang woman! ::pout:: hehe xoxo
