Quick Take: mysterious, out of the ordinary
Like love, this scent takes time to develop properly. My initial reaction when trying on this perfume was mild horror, as I could only detect the anise. I felt a little beat up by how aggressive the opening notes are, but after about ten minutes I couldn't stop smelling my arm. It is a very warm and sensual scent, not a true gourmand but no less yummy. If you like flowery scents then this is not the right fragrance for you, but if you like to smell different from everyone else at the office and yet still very feminine then give this a shot. The silage is not overpowering and the staying power is a few hours (then again I didn't dare spray on too much initially because the opening notes are so strong as I mentioned earlier).

Quick Take: spicy, strong, sexy, good value
I love that this comes in a rollerball. I don't often wear scents that are this spicy, so the fact that I could still get it in a small size is wonderful, since I don't want to be spending oodles of dollars on a large perfume I will only wear once in a blue moon.
On my skin the licorice came through VERY strong, so I'm actually a little on the fence about keeping it. Even so, it definitely is a fun scent if you don't mind the licorice. It is definitely a strong, seductive, and spicy scent.

Quick Take: edgy sophisticated scent
I purchased a rollerball of Loverdose on a whim thinking I might like it as it has star anise and licorice which work well with my chemistry. When first applied, it's scent is quite strong, but the end notes melt down to a seductive vanilla blend. I've had a lot of compliments on this fragrance! My only small complaint is the rollerball packaging It appears and feels inexpensive, but it works just fine!
