Not too flowery
-03.25.13
Quick Take: moisturizing, scented
This isn't your grandma's violet lotion. It's a light, floral, but not stuffy fragrance, and the lotion itself is fantastic.
I'm glad Philosophy fixed their pump bottles - a bottle I bought a year ago sucks when trying to get lotion out but the new design dispenses easily and quickly.
The lotion itself is rich, absorbs easily, and NOT GREASY - I hate lotions that linger too long before getting sucked up by your pores!
This is a great one to have by the shower to slather on in the morning. Also really good if you take a hot bath at night - the fragrance isn't too in your face so it won't jolt you out of post-bath bliss like some aggressive (but still good!) scents out there.

Quick Take: light pleasant scent
Field of Flowers Violet Blossom Shower gel is wonderful - skin is left smooth and soft and the shower experience is fresh smelling. Recommended - not overpowering.

Fresh but light
-03.01.13
I am a long time Philosophy user; I have tons of their shower gels. I was excited to see new floral scents when I was in Sephora recently, because I am ready for it to feel like spring! Of the scents they had on display, I was drawn to this one the most. It has a very fresh scent, without being overly powerful or too "floral". Upon using it, I found the scent is actually possibly TOO light, as it barely registered when I was lathering up in the shower. Philosophy shower gels typically don't linger on the skin, which I find to be a benefit, as I like to put scented lotion on after my shower, and these won't compete with whatever scent I choose, but I DO like to enjoy the fragrance while I'm IN the shower, and this one left something to be desired. The formula seems to be the same as all the other scents- very moisturizing and lathers well. I just wish it was a stronger scent. But, if you typically find Philosophy's scents too strong for your taste, this one might be perfect for you!

Almost not there
-02.05.13
This has a pleasant scent, but it is so light you will wonder if it is even scented at all. Some days that is exactly what I want, so I am keeping it. However, I have gotten used to the Field of Flowers line having a stronger scent and was a little disappointed as a result. Great lather, though. Still enjoy the bath soap overall.

Very light

Quick Take: rich lather, moisturizing, scented
I couldn't even smell this in the bottle, but I decided to give it a chance since there was only one Philosophy scent I haven't liked, and I'm glad I did. It's such a soft, relaxing floral! Much better than the original Field of Flowers they came out with - that was just way too overpowering. This is near perfect for me. And the best part about their body washes is that the scent doesn't really stick with you after your bath/shower, so you can use any perfume you like.
