Quick Take: smells nice, absorbed quickly, not worth price
When I purchased this product, I assumed it would be like all of the other carol's daughter products that last a couple of days, which is why I am not too happy with this oil. It literally last about 3 hours on my hair, then the shine fades and my hair looks/feels dry and in the summer its shorter than that. I will try it out on wet hair to see if it last a little longer but right now I don't like this oil at all. It smell like all the other monoi products which is good.

Smells Awesome, Not Strong Enough for Coarse Hair

Quick Take: great smelling, light-weight
I love the Monoi collection so I was more than thrilled to purchase this oil (or serum) for my hair. I recently removed my hair from a weave and it is in the natural state (no relaxer). I want to maintain my hair while it is out of the weave and it is very important to moisturize and protect it from damage. My hair is EXTREMELY dry. When it was first blown straight and styled, this oil was perfect - it was moisturizing and light. When my hair reverted back to the natural kinky curls (after 2 intense cardio workouts), the oil could do nothing for me. I used almost the whole bottle and my hair drank it up with no visible result. My hair felt semi-soft but it was still so coarse and dry. I think perhaps I need to look into something stronger to moisturize my hair in its natural state. Something with the same lightness but that actually moisturizes and combats SERIOUS frizz. But for my straightened hair, this stuff is awesome. On another note, I DID notice less breakage in my hair as I have been combing through it after using the oil. So that could be a plus.

Quick Take: pretty amazing....so far...
I've only used Monoi Oil for two weeks, but I must say I do see a difference in my hair already.. I am getting less breakage and my hair actually seems to stronger than before. The smell is lovely, but not overwhelming. I really wish it cost a little less

My hair is a mix of 4a & 4b and is all natural..... I like this oil. I like the smell as well. I have been using this oil for about two months. I don't really think it made my hair "stronger" but I do like that it's lightweight and absorbs well. I don't mind the price but what is preventing me from buying it again is the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle which is classy but honestly makes it super slippery if you have oil in your hands. The pump is horrible. It works but only upright. It's can be VERY inconvenient at times. To me this seems to be just another hair oil. There are other oils out there that are all natural, super lightweight, has all the same benefits, a couple of dollars cheaper but doesn't come with the hassle this bottle comes with. When CD comes up with a better way to package this oil, maybe I'll buy it again. Until then I'll pass.

After falling in love with the deep conditioner from this line, I went and purchased this. This oil is pretty thick and a little goes a long way. I like that this helped with eliminating breakage and shedding like the other products from the other line does. Every few days I moisturize my hair and seal in the moisture with thus and ny hair is good to go fir a few days. Fyi is am African American and natural. Hope this helps. This is an expensive product but because it is so thickiI don't have to use a lot so I have the feeling I will have this bottle forever. I saw other reviewers complain about the pump. I'm not sure what they are talking about. I also saw others complain this was greasy. It is if you use too much. So don't use too much!

Quick Take: not worth the $$$
I loved this product initially but after using it for about a week my scalp became extremely itchy & my hair seemed to be dryer. I have very curly hair for a white girl & tends to be frizzy. This product was not worth the $$$$.

Quick Take: awesome, miraculous, great value
I bought this oil on a whim and out of sheer desperation. Last year I decided to stop coloring my hair and let the gray come in naturally. Little did I know that gray hair is very porous and dry. I am used to dry hair, but not like this. My hair is breaking like crazy and I cannot achieve any growth! A total mess. With this oil I saw an instantaneous change. I used a bit more than indicated as my hair is dry and the shape my hair is in is pretty bad. I used a pump for each section I blow dried. Then a few pumps on the full mane after I was done blow drying the whole head. My hair did not appear greasy and felt soft. The best part is that it was no longer breaking. I could not believe I was achieving results so quickly. The bottle is huge and the smell is great. I will definitely continue to buy.

When I saw that this oil was silicone-free I was impressed and decided to try it. I've been using it for a few weeks - it's light, not greasy, gives smoothness and shine. I'm no stranger to oils (I've used many) but the blend of oils in this product seems to be just right. I actually like the pump, it only distributes a tiny bit at a time, so you don't get too much product and end up with a mess.

Carols Daughter is wonder. I love the natural base to their products. This oil in particular is great. I use it at night and then braid my hair and by morning it is so lucious and beautiful it looks like I spent hours to get my waves!! Only complaint is i think it should be bigger bottle but the ingredients are expensive so it's still worth it. Will buy over and over

I'm an Asian with oily scalp but because my hair is really long my ends are now very dry and splitting. I'm always afraid to use anything with oil since I'm already producing so much of my own. But being desperate I thought I'd take a chance. In one weekend my hair is already looking considerably better. I concentrate the application at the ends and my hair no longer has a crunchy straw like texture at the ends. It is so light and dissappears into your hair. It doesn't even feel greasy on my hands after. It smells amazing which is a plus. I was worried about breakouts with the oil but so far so good!

I have platinum blonde hair that i straighten daily. I have bought every leave in, oil, and serum to repair and stop my hair from breaking. This oil is my fave so far! I use it on damp hair after shampoo/conditioner, then add my leave in conditioner and argan oil serum. My hair is no longer breaking. This oil is light and non greasy, and of course it smells AMAZING! If only Carols Daugher would make a parfum of the Monoi scent, we would all buy it!

I have long fine wavy color treated natural blonde hair that tends to get dry and frizzy. I heat style my hair often, carols daughter monoi products are great but this oil is simply the best I've ever used and I've tried many! This does not weigh my hair down or make it look oily or dirty even the next day. It's a must buy, please don't ever stop making this!

I have purchased other Carol's Daughter products and thought OK good, but this is Great! My hair looks and fees fantastic! Even the person does does my hair commented on how healthy my hair is getting, he doesn't know my secret!
