Quick Take: translucent
The product very liquidity and translucent. I would have to put on several layers for it to look uniformed and not streaky. The actually tip was very thin. I returned the product. I will stick to my pencils.

I've been using liquid eyeliner for years and for the past 4-5 have been trying to replace the one I was addicted to because Avon discontinued it. So I have tried many! I LOVE the applicator one this pen (sometimes they are too long or too soft) this one is perfect. Formula does not "crack" and lasts all day!!!! Must use make up remover to get it all off. I think I've finally found my new addiction!

Quick Take: long wearing
Goes on pretty easy but you need to go over it a couple times to be dark enough. Hard to correct if you make a mistake but it does last all day. I'll use this one up but I don't think I'd buy again. Not a good one for smudging at all.

This actually stays on my lids for a decent amount of time! By the end of the day I only had a little bit of smudging on my upper eyelid. It is difficult to get a thin line, but I think it will get easier with practice. This was recommended to me by an employee at the Easton store...happily surprised!

I really wanted to like this.
I'm not inexperienced when it comes to liquid liner, but the description and some of the reviews made me think this liner would be pretty easy and versatile. Right now, I have a thick pen and two thinner ones, so combining the versatility of all those different types of lines in "one stroke" seemed like a good idea.
The biggest problem with this liner is the consistency of the line. It comes out a bit watery, not that opaque and you have to go over it a couple of times. Now, that MIGHT be okay except the liner dries very, very fast. As in, just as soon as you've finished your stroke across the lid. So when you go back to re-trace the original line, it kind of sticks and grabs against the product that you've already applied, making a bit of a mess.
I figure a "rockstar" should be just that - big, bold, very opaque and versatile.
Bottom line: Just because something is marketed as being the baddest or the coolest doesn't mean it isn't a second rate product that will disappoint.

Quick Take: not worth it
it wasnt worth my time and money... it looks neat and sounds good... but in use, it's quality is below average... it goes on smooth but doesnt smudge well when u need to smudge it instead it smudges when u need to remove it to fix the line... its staying power is hardly a few hours and then it smudges all over the eyes.... so much for those sharp cat eyes I like so much... and it runs out ridiculously fast making it completely not worth the money... I've used it for two weeks and it's currently light/transparent black instead of intense black as it was when it arrived... its drying out and probably will be done in a week or so... I will not get it again... but it was kinddah fun while it lasted...

SUPER DISSAPOINTING

I have never needed to return a product before, this stuff was beyond awful. It looked good initially went on smooth and easy, and really black. Three hours later I had the worse raccoon eyes in my life. Smeared everywhere! I tried it once more with primer first... same story five hours later. The only good thing about it was how nice all the Sephora employees are.

I guess the name says it all. At first the product was almost too much liquid to handle; after 2-3 uses it was all dried up and wasted. I would not recommend. Product was difficult to use the first time due to an overloaded tip, worked well for an application or two after that, then became completely worthless.
When the liner did work, it required a powder finisher to keep it from bleeding to other areas of the eyes. I was disappointed in all respects. This was not a time saver, was more difficult to use than a liner brush, and took extra steps to make it work

I was so excited after reading all the rave reviews on this eyeliner and couldn't wait to get it home. In the past sephora reviews have for the most part never steered me wrong, but it did with this one. This stuff is crud honestly. It takes forever to dry and smudges like crazy. It does not have solid pigmentation and looks more pewter when it dries. Spend your money on something solid like Urban Decay liner. When I went to return it the ladies at Sephora asked me what I didn't like about it and stated they had tried it as well and had the same issues.

Quick Take: smudgable
I've had this product for about a month now and I love it because it is SO easy to apply. The only time it gets a little awkward is if you put on eyelid primer, and then the liner will won't go on smooth. Even still, I would recommend using a primer because this is SO easy to wipe off, which is great if you make a mistake, but if you rub your eye throughout the day, you do risk ruining your look. I haven't noticed any issues with it drying out. Although it says to store it horizontally, I just keep it in my makeup bag and so far there haven't been any issues. When this runs out, I probably will keep shopping around for another liquid liner because I want something with a little more staying power. But give this a try, it's a lot of fun.

this is seriously a little marker you can draw on your face with! lol it's amazing this eyeliner goes on perfectly where ever you stroke on your eyelid and it stays on most of the day. and you can choose if you want a punk look or a gossip girl Leighton Meesters chic look

i have 2 words to describe this eyeliner...BAD A**!
i have oily skin and pencils usually tend to gravitate as the night goes on, which can be pretty scary in south florida (where it's humid for 11 of the 12 months each year).
rockstar liquid liner is how they describe it. and that's just what it is. the only CON (to those who tread the thin liner line) is that you cannot "fashion" a really thin line from this tube. the tip is a bit thicker in person than real life. but, the PRO is that you can don a major league bat your lashes & leave 'em quivering cat eye in 60 seconds or less without having to continually build upon the liner base.

The felt tip of the pen is extremely hard, so for someone like me who's a little more used to a flexible point, it takes some getting used to. In fact, if your eyelids are a little sensitive, this can hurt.
I love the inky black color, but it had hardly any staying power. I definitely need to use primer.

However, to get the application so smooth through the felt-tip, the formula is heavy on the alcohol. Maybe if it weren't allergy season, my eyelids wouldn't be so sensitive and I'd be fine, but for the money, I want a product that doesn't give ANY kind of a burning feeling after putting it on. It wasn't horrific or anything, and I've had worse. If your lashline has never been irritated by a product, this certainly wouldn't be the first that would do it to you. If you're sensitive like me, skip it.
