Quick Take: good value, nice variety of colors, wearable
This is the first time I have tried "The New Black" polish and this set is a nice small seasonal color collection (which I prefer because who knows if I will really be making mint green a staple!). I agree that the colors are a little more whitewashed in person than in the picture. The grey/lilac is indeed more grey but pretty sheer so it's still a nice summer neutral when you're not feeling vibrant. All 5 colors are matte and the peachy color was my surprise favorite along with the sheer grey. The green looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream and is less neon than others I have seen. Overall nice spring set and the polishes all went on smooth and the brushes seem of good quality.

In all fairness, I have yet to use this product. I have at least 3 other 'The New Black' sets that I have used though. So we have yellow, peach, mint green, pink and what I thought was a lilac shade. Nope. It's greige. I'm going to substitute in a light blue or lilac and see how the ombre look turns out.

Quick Take: creamy, feminine, versatile
Finally, spring colors that are cute but aren't easter-eggy. I love pairing the creamy peach and pink with black. Even though these colors are light, they only require 1-2 coats for full-on mani-- and it lasts a long time.
