Quick Take: travel-friendly, good value
I had always wanted to try L'Artistan and felt this would be a perfect way to get a feel for their scents, but after ordering this I got a bit scared after rereading the less positive reviews. This set is curated for women, they do have a set for men available elsewhere so don't let the reviews stating that the fragrances are masculine deter you.
On me La Chasse aux Papillons is very light and feminine, just as I would have expected. On my skin it doesn't last very long, but I don't let that stop me wearing this on dates with my husband.
Mure et Musc, the top notes do distinctly remind me of a cologne that my father wore when I was younger, but it settles into a blackberry musk and lasts for quite some time.
To my surprise Premier Figuier is my favorite of the three. It is very green and somewhat earthy on, it also lasts for hours on me. I get a hint of actually fig fruit, but this will vary from person to person/ skin to skin. Personally this will be my summer scent, I absolutely love it.

I wore those 3 fragrances before and wanted them again, I was very happy to see them in small sizes so I could get 3 at the same time. Easy to travel with. Love l'Artisan and hope Sephora will start carrying the whole line.

Quick Take: good value, travel-friendly, elegant, unique, amazing packaging
I've been curious to try both Mûre et Musc and Premier Figuier for several years. This seemed like an affordable way to sample these products, and also try something new that I wouldn't normally go for with La Chasse Aux Papillons.
Mûre et Musc is a lovely, warm, fairly simple fragrance. I usually wear it on days when I want something pleasant and pretty, but unobtrusive. I was hoping the bright and slightly green blackberry notes would be more forward. However, this is (to my nose) primarily a musky fragrance. It's still a beautiful, elegant fragrance and I'm happy to have it! I'd be curious to see if the eau de parfum version (Mûre et Musc extrême) has those true blackberry notes I long for.
La Chasse Aux Papillons is also a beautiful, winsome scent. Very heady. I grew up in Arizona where, during certain times of the year in certain areas, the air is positively thick with the scent of orange blossoms. This perfume reminds me of that exactly. It's a bit too floral and sweet for me to wear, but I do love smelling the bottle and being transported back to the desert. I will probably give it to a friend who prefers this kind of perfume. It is absolutely lovely, just not quite something I prefer to wear.
Premier Figuier took me off guard at first. Though it has the green notes I was expecting, it lacked the sweet, milky figginess I also anticipated. There was a certain beachy note that I did not expect--almost like coconut or suntan lotion (albeit the loveliest imaginable). Over the past month or so, I've come to positively adore this scent. It reminds me both of fresh, green figs, but also of the desert after rain and tomato leaves. It is the opposite of cloying. I plan on buying a full sized bottle of the eau de parfum version of this when I have used up this trial-sized bottle.
I don't find any of these fragrances to be masculine, though Premier Figuier is a chameleon-like scent. I imagine it would be beautiful on anyone: man, woman, or otherwise.

Love all three fragrances!

Quick Take: travel-friendly
I've been a fan of L'artisan for years, the brand is very modern, light, airy and easy to wear. Most fragrances are too heavy and strong for me and cause headaches, L'artisan has never caused problems for my sensitive nose. Wear time is about 4-8 hours, so it's great to have purse size bottles to travel with. La Chasse aux Papillons is an amazing bouquet of Spring white florals, very soft and delicately sweet. Premier figuier is juicy fig, coconut, and sandalwood. The fragrance is more earthy than it is fruity sweet, and I'm assuming the earthiness and sandalwood are what others describe as masculine. In my opinion the fragrance is unisex, but if you tend to wear fruity florals, then mure et musc and premier figuier may not appeal to you. On to mure et musc, the fragrance starts out with blackberry and then gravitates more towards a sweet musc scent. Overall, I love all 3 scents although La Chasse is my favorite.

I was super excited when Sephora started carrying the brand online. This set is super cute. I bought one for a friend for her bday and one for myself of course! The pink is my favorite - la chasse aux papillons. There is nothing else that compares to this scent. Love the sizes too so I can take them with me!

mostly masculine scents

This is a really nice collection. I won two L'artisan perfumes that Sephora does not carry so I was already familiar with the brand. Mure et Musc has a really patchouli masculine dry down and Premier Figuier has a really earthly fig smell; it would be much better on a guy. La Chasse aux Papillions is very feminine but it smells like tuberose cleanser. I was very disappointed in this one. Had it smelled even vaguely decent I would have kept the set and gave the other 2 to my husband. I gave this 3 stars bc the first two are really nice scents and if you like to wear masculine scents these will work well, plus the packaging is so nice.
