I honestly have no idea what i was doing with my hair before this product. I have long (Just a few inches shy of my natural waist), chemically damaged hair with lots of split ends. It is also very fine, but thick. I received this oil in a sample and when i put it on my hair it instantly made it feel healthy again. Once the sample was used up i attempted to do the things i had done with my hair before using this product and my hair was a disaster, i seriously wore my hair up in a messy bun for four days while i waited for my full sized bottle to come in the mail! It makes my hair so soft, shiny and healthy looking all without weighing it down. It smells amazing, i cant quite tell you what it smells like but its really fresh and nice. I'm in love!

Love this
-05.14.13
I got this as a sample with an order. I have fine straight-ish hair that sometimes flips out at the ends, which is the opposite of what I want when I curl them under every morning with a straightener. I used a small, nickel sized drop on damp hair mid shaft to ends along with Living Proof's Hair Primer. After blow drying my hair it was gloriously shiny, soft, and responded much better to the straightener. This did not weigh it down at all, it was sleek while still having amazing body. I will definitely be buying the full size soon. A little goes a long way so 3.4 ounces should last me a long long time.

Light, fresh, and smoothing
-05.12.13
Quick Take: light, good smelling, frizz controlling, smoothing
I got a sample of this and was really impressed. It says it's for straight styles, but for me it worked great as a frizz tamer and general smoother on day 2 of my curly hair days. It is expensive, which is why I only gave it 4 stars, that and you can just very slightly tell you have put something in your hair by running your hands through it. But overall, it smells great, is very lightweight for an oil on my fine hair, and smooths wonderfully. Despite the price, you do use very very little of the product. For my slightly longer than shoulder length curls I only use less than a dime sized amount. I'm getting a real run out of the sample, so the full size must last forever! Really nice product.

Loved it

I have tried 100's of oils and after 2 months I still love this one! I have natural blond hair and oils usually leave it looking greasy and darkened, but this doesn't!

I used this in an attempt to tame my hair on a really humid, rainy day. It transformed my frizz into undulating waves-- amazing. It has a really light texture, so my hair didn't get greasy at all. I just wish that it had a cleaner smell--not really sure what it's supposed to smell like, but it's not great.

Seemingly amazing with drawbacks
-04.24.13
I got this as a sample and jumped at the chance to buy the full size. It seemed to work great on wet hair leaving my hair feeling light and airy as well as soft and smooth. It smells like cinnamon which at first I thought weird but came to enjoy. When I woke up, my hair was dry and not a drop of moisture from the oil was anywhere to be seen. I guess use a lot, and use it frequently. I'm not sure it's worth the price but I'm definitely going to use up all I have.

The smell is great!

I bought this with the rest of the Drybar line. I like it well enough, love the smell!! I don't think it's any better than the numerous products out there that does the same thing for a much better price.

Not a fan
-04.08.13
I'm not usually a fan of hair oils because I have oily hair. But I love the Drybar line and thought this might be different. It's still oil being added to my hair and I just didn't care for it. Perhaps on thicker hair or curly hair it might work better, but I have fine straight hair and it just didn't help at all.

This product works great on my color treated hair. Prior to use, my highlighted and dyed hair (much of which is gray), was brittle and easily snagged while combing and drying with a round brush. Now, it is manageable, shiny and has bounce. Also, I am thrilled that it is cruelty-free.

Good for dry, highlighted hair
-03.29.13
Let me first say that I have been a big fan of the entire Drybar company. I've gotten several blowouts from them and have always been satisfied with my experience. So when I saw that they had expanded to products, I was excited but a tad skeptical to be honest. But I decided to give them a shot, and have not been disappointed!
I have medium-thick black Asian hair. My hair is natural pretty wavey and frizzy so I've tested out a lot of oils/serums and this one is the BEST.
I first used it after a blow dry and it made my hair much more touchable and soft without weighing it down like other products. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS, a little really goes a long way. I only used a nickel size amount for medium length hair (goes a little past my shoulders). The smell is AMAZING, if hair perils existed, this would be it n
I also put some on with wet hair and blow dried it after and found the results to be qually as effective.
BOTTOM LINE:This is definitely a amazing product. It's pretty large and will last for quite a while I think, so it's worth the splurge. Can't wait to try out more of Drybar's products!

A nice light oil
-03.27.13
My hair is chemically treated, curly and I heat style it so I use a treatment oil daily. Of the ones available on Sephora, I have Pequi, Oscar Blandi, Ojon Rare Blend and Josie Maran Argan for hair (my favorites are Pequi and Oscar Blandi).
In comparison to the other oils I found this one to be much lighter. It smells nice and did not cause my hair to feel weighed down. Prior to submitting any review I will use a product several times and I tried this oil on damp and dry hair and it worked well either way. I used it with the Hot Toddy (which I had purchased prior to the oil) but I also used other oils with Hot Toddy and in my honest opinion I found the Pequi to work the very best with it.
I would recommend this product to people who do not have damaged or very dry/chemically treated hair (like me). For myself personally I will stay with Pequi and Oscar Blandi oils as for the amount of abuse I put my hair through this product is just a bit too light but I would rate it higher than Ojon and Josie Maran.

Nice smoothing oil
-03.18.13
Quick Take: good for smoothing frizz
I am new to this line so I wanted to give this oil a chance. I have naturally curly, highlighted hair, so I'm always fighting frizz and dullness. It's a good product, but for the money I like the Pequi oil much better. It's not that it doesn't do what they say, and even though the Pequi oil is more expensive, it just does more for my hair wet or dry.

Perfect for Wet or Dry Hair
-03.03.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results, smells great, a little goes a long way
I used this on damp hair before blowdrying to enhance smoothness but you could totally use it on dry hair too. I used three pumps on damp hair and it was enough to make a difference so a little goes a really long way. I combined this with Hot Toddy and Cream Soda to get really smooth ends, while using Southern Belle at the roots to get more volume at the top and it looked great. I'm on my second day now and my hair is smooth at the ends still, whereas since it's naturally curly it would normally get some bend to it, but it looks great! These products are serious life changers. I love them.

LOVE IT!!!
-03.01.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results
I have tried so many hair oils from the famous big M brand which I hated to this. I was pleasantly surprised on how well it actually worked on my hair. I used this in conjunction with the HOT TODDY hair protector and it left my hair SERIOUSLY straight and bouncy. It did not leave my hair feeling greasy even though I used the two together. I used it in my hair wet combined both and blew dry with a big round brush and thats all!! Gorgeous hair. So far everything I have tried in this line is good. Will def buy this again. Glad that I decided to buy this. Doesn't disappoint!! Was not actually available in the store when I bought it so I had to buy from the website.
