Couldn't wait to wash it out
-06.08.13
Quick Take: greasy
This stuff was just awful. I hated the smell. I smelled like old lady perfume and the smell lingered all day. I couldn't wear any other perfume or it would have clashed.
Also it. Made my hair feel really dirty and sticky. I usually was my hair every other day. This stuff made my hair greasy and felt like it hadn't been washed in days and days.
I have curly hair and it did nothing for my curls.

-05.29.13
Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky, amazing smelling
The Smell is Amazing and stood in my hair for 4 days over a camping trip! I have not used it to blow dry or straighten my hair. I've only used it as my 3c hair type air dries. It makes my hair shiny and frizz free and again...the smell. A bit pricey.

Great product, great smell
-05.22.13
Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use, smells good
I really like this product. It smooths hair, isn't sticky, helps my hair dry quicker and I really enjoy the smell. I use a generous quarter-sized dollop for my shoulder length hair (I also use a volumizing spray, as my hair is very fine). Does not weigh down hair at all. Overall, a great cream and makes me eager to try other Drybar products. Did I mention that I love the smell?

AWESOME!!!
-05.21.13
Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky, smells devine
Hair Type: 2B-Wavy Curvy, halfway down my back.
This product does what it claims! It aids in the styling of your hair and helps keep that style! It's not going to magically straighten your hair for you by no means but it WILL help you manipulate your hair as you wish! Smell is amazing and def cuts down on my drying time! I would recommend this!

Hated it
-05.21.13
So i have curly hair that gets very unruly. This produce made my hair very greasy looking and unnaturally. I used very little and still had a hard time straightening my hair.

Perfect styling cream
-05.18.13
Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
My hair is slightly waving and shoulder length which I blow dry straight. However, the style rarely holds over to the next day. This cream made my style just fall into place, eliminating all the flyaways and my style was still in tact the next day. Just love this. It is well worth the money.

Why is this hated by so many?
-05.14.13
Quick Take: lightweight, easy to use, softening
Starters: I have very long hair (past the middle of my back), it is a little thick (b/c I haven't cut it in 15 months and it is super healthy) and I have never treated my hair with color. It is naturally a bit wavy and I blow dry it every other day.
That being said, everything I use on my hair cannot be something that weighs it down and it has to be something that will help maintain my long hair. As I said, I haven't cut it in 15 months and this is the best my hair has looked. I purchased this after I tried a sample and immediately purchased it. I am not a big person on buying expensive products for my hair (drugstore works just fine), but I enjoyed the way my hair looked and felt with it.
PLEASE keep in mind that SMOOTHING and STRAIGHTENING are two very different looks when it comes to hair. This will not straighten your hair, but it will help smooth it out to be softer and nourished. There seems to be many people who hate the smell, but for someone who dislikes the scent of pretty much everything, I do not mind it at all. It has a light scent to it and it really isn't worth a negative point IMO.
I will end this and say that you can buy all the expensive hair products you want, but if you don't take the time to learn how to blow dry your hair properly, you will continue to think every product is terrible. YT how to blow out your hair, split your hair with clips into sections and start with the pieces that frame your face first. Sometimes if I am being lazy, I will just use a paddle brush and blow out it with just that.
Don't use much of this product (I use about a quarter) and you may end up liking it, too. Go get a sample of it from Sephora before you spend your money on this product (it is rather pricey).

not impressed
-05.11.13
I was hoping this product would replace Fresh's sake hair cream. Not so. It made my hair greasy and looked worse than if I used nothing. I had to return it.

Great for Shine and Smoothing
-05.11.13
Quick Take: easy to use
After using a nickel sized portion of Hot Toddy, I only use the same amount of the Cream Soda smoothing cream, and my hair is soft, frizz free and shiny until two days later, when I shampoo again. Love this formula, and even though it's spendy, I don't use a lot of product.

Drying
-05.05.13
I used this after towel drying and before blow drying. Did not smooth out my hair but made it more difficult to blow out and kept tangling. Left my hair feeling dry and not smooth at all. Possibly this product works better for those who let their hair air dry, but with a name drybar specializing in blow outs... I would expect better.

Dry, Old Women Hair
-05.02.13
Quick Take: drying, horrible smelling
This product did the opposite of what it promised. It made my naturally dry hair even drier, and left it brittle and smelling like old women.

I received this as a free sample, and thank goodness, because now I will be purchasing it! I have very long, medium thickness, slightly naturally wavy, flat hair. I apply this to towel-dried hair, and just let my hair air dry without any styling. This product definitely helps keep the frizzies and flyaways down, and creates a nice smooth texture, without weighing down hair. Smells nice too.

Love the name. The product not so much. It made my very thick hair look droopy and greasy. I actually returned it so I'm surprised they're asking me to review.

I received a sample of Cream Soda and love it. I have fine, highlighted hair. Not only does it keep my hair full and bouncy but tames the friZz. I have used this product with other styling products. Works great!!

great for my hair
-04.24.13
Quick Take: lightweight, non-sticky, easy to use
I have fine, thick, long, straight hair. It really doesn't need much styling help, but my side bangs do get out of control if I don't do something to them, and I live in a humid area so I get a little frizzy. This hair cream doesn't weigh down my fine hair or leave any gross residue (and I'm really prone to that), but it makes my hair stay in place the way I blow dry it, and it smooths it down some. My bangs do great with this- the cream gives them a little hold so they don't start flipping or separating, but it looks and feels natural. If you're looking for really strong hold, this won't give you that.
I HATE musky scents, and I just don't smell it in this. It does have a fragrance, but it's a typical hair salon styling product scent to me.

Quick Take: easy to use, lightweight, non-sticky, adds body
I got a sample of this from Sephora.
First lets get the standard stuff out of the way. I am Caucasian with short professionally color treated hair. My hair isn't thick per say but I have a lot of it. The front near my bangs and the back are "wavy" according to my hair dresser. My regular routine is blow dry and/or flat iron.
I got two samples of this just to be sure. I don't think it smells good or bad, in fact the smell just doesn't stand out to me. It's a thick creamy consistency similar to a leave in conditioner that you apply when your hair is damp. My hair felt soft but I also felt no additional weight or odd (sticky, etc) textures.
I styled as usual. My hair had more body and liked to stay where I put it (versus styling and then finishing) but retained a soft texture. This was my result after two samples and at which point I got online to buy it. I didn't need my usual finishing stuff either which was a bonus.
Seeing some of the reviews about a musky smell delayed my purchase a bit. Shortly after I had done my hair my guy was over and I asked him to smell my hair (without mentioning why) after the second time I asked , I had to explain it to him. He said he couldn't smell anything either and it definitely did not have a musky smell.
I really like this and just picked up a full size!

Not for me
-04.20.13
Quick Take: heavy
My hair is pretty smooth on it's own so I don't generally use smoothing products; plus it's fine so creams weigh it down. A few drops of Argan oil on my ends keeps it soft. I got a sample of this smoothing cream in my last order so I figured I would try it out anyway. Summer in North Carolina = humid = frizz! The cream pretty much un-smoothed my hair. I only used a dime-sized amount on the bottom half of my hair and after drying, it just felt grimy and dirty. Like I needed to wash my hair over again. It also seemed like it took longer to blow-dry than normal. I wouldn't recommend this product for those with hair like mine- fine, straight, smooth- but it's probably geared toward hair of an opposite texture, thus I gave it 2 stars and it doesn't smell bad at all. Not horrible, just meh....

Tames frizz but awful smell
-04.20.13
I like how it smooths my hair but I CANNOT stand the smell. And its a scent that lingers for a long time. I'm glad I just got the sample instead of spending my money on this product.
