Tarte: please supersize this!
I actually stretch one tiny tube and only use half for each treatment (once a week). I feel the small tube can easily be used at least twice, not just once as recommended. Already have noticed a difference and it's been only 2 treatments in. I'm hooked! I'm glad I got a free sample of this. Loved it so much I bought the full size.

OKAY so I waited all week to try this bad boy..the night I did it I fell in love. I could feel the tightening and the tingling sensation on my face and it just felt good...ya know? I enjoyed it and loved it.. when I finally took it off I could feel the tightness and see the brightness. worth a shot for 38 bucks. most masks that are actually good cost more...oh and the tiny bottles carry a lot of product. more than enough in my opinion.

I'm really bummed that this mask didn't work as well for me as it did for others. I have combo-oily skin that is breakout prone and have been under a lot of stress lately, so I bought this to help clear up my skin. I was able to use half a tube as one application and I used 3 tubes, so 6 weeks total of mask treatment with this product....which is definitely enough time to see if it provides actual results. The mask feels cooling when you put it on, which I liked. Also, when washing it off, it came off easily and exfoliated my skin and left it feeling very cool (from the cooling sensation in this mask) and soft. Unfortunately, I didn't see results with actually detoxifying/clearing up my skin...and I bought it specifically for that. It's too expensive to buy to only exfoliate and leave my skin feeling soft...so many other products do that and are much cheaper. I wish it worked because I love that it is made with natural ingredients. So, it looks like I'm back to square one, I'm still on the hunt for the right detoxifying/skin clearing facial mask. :(

Outstanding mask. I have super-sensitive skin and wanted something to unclog my pores. This is exfoliating, layers on thick even if you only use half a tube, dries pretty stiff, but rinses off easily. Great product. I've added this to my "be nice to your skin" routine.

This is a good product. The benefit is immediate and noticeable, true. But I doubt it really changes your skin long-term. The fresh-faced look seems to go away by the next day. So it is great for a special occasion when you want to look your best -- it does work in that sense. However, I didn't see permanent changes in my skin. I use once a week or so.

I got a sample of this from Sephora and this is the first skincare product were I honestly saw instant results. I used the mask after cleansing with my clairisonic and botanics foam cleanser. At first I was really worried about the tingling, but the sensation decreased as the mask dried. I didn't have too much difficulty washing off the mask and was super impressed by the results. My face felt a bit tight, but my lare pores were clearly smaller and for the first time ever my Sebaceous Filaments were cleared from my nose. Over-all my skin looked fresh and clear. I wouldn't buy this product regularly because I find nearly $10 too much to pay per application, but definitely plan on purchasing for the month leading up to my engagement party and my wedding.

Quick Take: invigorating, opens pores, calms skin
I got this today as a perk from Sephora and tried it out tonight. It looks like for the sample they gave out one tube and the instructions said to use it all, so I did, even though I probably could have used less and still gotten an effective treatment. There was more than enough in the tube to cover my face really well with enough left over to lightly cover my neck, and I am plus sized, so that means more surface area to cover. Now, I am fair skinned with very mild rosacea and I have sensitive skin too. I was very worried this would be too harsh for me to use. So I admit I did not exfoliate as much as most people will. I wanted to use it for the detox moreso than exfoliation. However, there are not a ton of jojoba beads in the mask, so I could probably have exfoliated longer. The mask did tingle when I put it on and at first I panicked, thinking I was having an allergic reaction. But just as I was about to rinse it off, I noticed the tingling felt a bit more like I had peppermint on my face than an allergic reaction. That's about the best way I can describe it. So, I kept applying it and left it on until it was all dry. When I took it off, I used a washcloth. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had no problems removing it. It came off easily. My face was a little red, but not much more than it was before the mask. I had used my Clarisonic Mia before the mask, and that always makes my face red anyway, usually for about 1-2 hours. To my great surprise, once this mask was wiped away, in less than 5 minutes I noticed I was less red than I tend to be after using the Mia alone. I think the mask actually calmed my skin somehow. I also felt very invigorated and my face felt like my pores had opened up and were all 'breathing' like they had not done in years. I followed with some of the products I've used before--a fruit enzyme toner, an eye serum, a coconut fatty acid based moisturizer, and my favorite eye cream. Each time, I felt like the product soaked in even more than it does after just using the Mia. I see some others have mentioned the mask is moisturizing. I would not agree with that. However, it is less drying than most detox, clay based masks. And as soon as I got my toner and moisturizer on, it didn't feel like it had any drying effects like some masks I have tried. Thus, I think this is great for those who may not be in their teens or twenties anymore, so they don't necessarily have lots of acne or oily skin, but they would like to detox and clarify the skin. I also have a mild t-zone now and then, with the rest of my skin being pretty normal. And, with stress and my monthly period, I do have a handful of breakouts now and then, but not that many. All in all, I love this. It is certainly going on my must purchase list--though it sadly may have to wait a while as I splurged too much on Sephora's recent sale. The only thing I don't like is that someone said it contains some questionable (non-natural) ingredients. I would love to see those specific ingredients removed, if possible, but because of how great this worked, I don't think I can bypass it just because of the ingredient list. I think I'm hooked! Oh, and just FYI, I love Tarte for their lipsurgence line and their amazonian clay blushes, but outside of that, I haven't tried many other Tarte products, so I wouldn't say this is a brand loyalty review--it is more someone who was just severely impressed with the results of the product.

I, too, received this as a VIB perk and was skeptical because of the size of the box. It almost got lost in all the other merchandise it was so small. I let it collect dust on my vanity for a good two weeks before getting around to trying it and I was more than satisfied. I could feel it tightening up, which is normal in any mask, as it dried but it was REALLY intense. Like...feel your pulse in your face so tight intense. As another reviewer said, you really have to scrub it off, so I advise to make sure you have your edges pulled back and out of the way before applying it. I like that it was an exfolliant too because it really polished the dull spots out of my skin and I found the next day I opted to just do some spot work for a couple blemishes instead of any foundation OR bronzer. I'm definitely buying the five week treatment. It's worth it.

I received this for a point perk. I was very excited about this product. When I used it, it went on well, but cleaning it off was a lil tough. Most of it came off easily, but the chunky areas stuck and you really had to scrub them off. After, my cheeks, nose and forehead were pretty red. My nose stil l had clogged pores, although my cheeks were very clear, to the point of being slightly flakey. My face over all was very soft and smooth, but I will not be purchasing this, as any serum can do that. Still on the hunt for a great face mask :)

I tried the sample that I received with my points. I must say I was a bit skeptical to use this clay mask because I have super sensitive acne prone skin. When I applied it to my face I was worried about whether or not I would have a reaction to it. It was the complete opposite, it tightens your skin and after I washed it off my skin felt amazing!! I had absolutely no reaction to this face mask which I was surprised about. Will definitely be going back to buy the 5-week system.

I've gotten to the point where I read ingredient labels on all my products, even the ones touted as natural. That's how I discovered that this product contains butylene glycol. That's an ingredient derived from petroleum. Although it's regarded as safe, in no way would I consider it a desirable or beneficial ingredient. Besides, government agencies think a lot of products are safe that are later proven not to be. Ever heard of thalidomide? So results wise this is a great product but ingredient wise the sample I tried will be my last tube of this. I'm disappointed in Tarte, too--usually a good company for safe and natural ingredients.

I used points to get the sample and when I rinsed off this mask I actually said "oh my god" aloud when I looked in the mirror. I have very large pores on my cheeks and across my nose and this made them so small as to be unnoticeable.

I used my beauty points to get the sample. Granted, it was only one tiny bottle for one time use, but it was amazing! It tingled/stung a little and made my skin feel really tight once it dried, but the second I washed it off my skin felt amazing! Super soft, smooth, and really healthy!
