DevaCurl DevaTowel

What it is: A towel designed for curly and wavy hair. What it does: Did you know that the coarse and absorbent texture of a terrycloth towel promotes frizz for your curly hair? The DevaTowel provides a smooth surface and absorbs just enough water to allow DevaCurl styling products to set curls while keeping them defined, frizz-free, and intact.

Small

The towel is doing it's job, but it's way too small. If it was twice the size and I could actually wear it around my head, I would love it

Skeptical
-04.27.13
I was skeptical that this towel would actually help me hold my curls. I have fine hair and it always seems that curl products are meant for girls with really full, thick curls. This towel really worked for my curl style too! I thought it was a little expensive, but it works and I'm very happy with the results.

My hair did seems less tangled and frizzy after using this towel versus a normal terry cloth one, but I don't see how it is any different than any other microfiber towel. When considering this, it is extremely over priced.

Wish It Was Bigger

Quick Take: too small
Didn't really read the dimensions before ordering (my fault), but I agree with the previous reviewer ... this would have been perfect if it was long enough to wrap around your head in a turban. I've *always* wrapped my wet (curly) hair up in a turban while doing must-dos before skincare/makeup application (brushing teeth, cleaning ears, ect.) because it keeps my hair out of the way while somewhat drying it. PLEASE make a larger towel that will accommodate wrapping it around your head ... I'd buy several!!

Quick Take: little not functional
I bought this because I felt uncertain about drying your hair with terry cloth towel. Supposedly, it easel damages you gentle hair after a shower. It is a tempting reason because my hair does break a lot when i'm styling it, especially after a shower. The towel is smooth and I do think it is safer, more gentle, but it is small. The towel is not designed right because it is wider than it is longer. I thought it would be a towel I could shape into a hair turban, like I always do. Anyways, I just started blow drying my hair. I thought it was better to towel dry your hair than heat treat it. I guess it is too hard to do it right.

Pleased Skeptic

I honestly did not think that a regular towel versus a towel for curly hair would make a noticeable difference, but I was wrong. It also pulls more water out of my hair than a normal towel but is less frizzy. So glad I tried it.

Love My DevaTowel
-03.10.13
I will admit, I am not a fan of DevaCurl products however, I do love their towel. By using it, it has helped in order to minimize the frizz that my curls have by drying them without hurting them. Regular towels tend to be harsh on curly hair but this one does wonders. Yes, it might be small, but it actually soaks up a lot of water and dries fairly quickly.
This is a must for curly hair!
