Quick Take: amazing luscious excellent for aging skin moist
There are several products that I will review today by saying this: Finally! After YEARS of trying G*d knows how many products, my aging (60) skin has found a new friend.
That said: This product / moisturizer is amazing. My skin actually glows. No need to apply a ton of it - a small amount works wonders. Like I said ... FInally!

I have very dry skin. I LOVE this product. It feels great on my skin. It leaves my skin feeling so soft. I like that it has an SPF 15. It smells great too. I have tried lots of other products but this one really works.

I received a sample of this and started using it about a week ago. I have dry skin- not flakey dry, but my skin feels tight after a shower. I use this product and my skin has felt smoother and looks healthy. I only use a very small amount so the sample size has lasted me a while. I plan to buy the actual tube when it runs out. I was balking at the price but for me it would be worth it and lasts a long time. I also like the smell- it reminds me of oatmeal soap.

I won't go outside without an SPF of at least 15 on my face. What I really like about Resurgence Sheer Lustre Day Lotion is that it is an SPF and moisturizer all in one. I have used SPF day lotions from other lines that have no moisturizing at all. When I started using Resurgence a friend who said to me "if I didn't know it was impossible I'd say you were pregnant - you're glowing!" Need I say more?!

This product is too light weight for me, one application was not enough to hydrate my skin. I also didn't care for the reflective copper-colored glittery stuff in it as I am fair skinned and it was obvious. I returned it to the store.

Quick Take: lightweight
I use retin-a, which causes my skin to constantly peel and flake off. Because this product has light defusing particles in it, it really helps restore the look of moisture and adds a good shine/luster (not oily looking) to my skin. It helps mask dry and flaky skin.
I would recommend this to anyone with dry or dull skin. If you're skin is oily this will make you look terrible!
This is just like the body shop's vitamin e illuminating day cream without the pinky-pearl tones color.
I love wearing this alone without makeup it makes your skin look dewy and beautiful and masks dry patches.

This is a thick cream but after it absorbs into my skin - it feels light. I really think it's helped with my hormonal break outs too. Since using this, my skin is clearer and more radiant. I'm happy with this product so far.

I use the entire resurgence line. The day lotion has been out of stock, but I finally got it and began to use it. Not a fan. It made me break out. I find my skin works just fine with the face wash, eye cream and serum.

Imparts a sheer, youthful glow. Gives skin a silky feel. Recieved as a sample and am now purchasing the full size. I love this product. Perfect for the days I want minimal makeup. Just throw this on with a little lipgloss, blush and mascara and I am ready to go!

Too oily-looking for me

Quick Take: too oily, has too much sheen, too much lustre for me
I usually use the Murad Oil Mattifying formula, but I tried a sample of this Sheer Lustre Day Lotion not too long ago. It didn't work well for me.
I'm 41. I still have quite a bit of oiliness through my T-zone, but I have some drier patches towards the outside of my face. Thought the Sheer Lustre might be a good fit, due to the "sheer"/lightweight aspect of it. As soon as I put it on, I realized that it was going to make my skin look oily quickly. I patted it with lots of powder, but that didn't help. I went through several oil blotting sheets throughout the day. I do live in a humid area of the country, but it's not that bad now (in early March). This lotion would be a nightmare for me in the most humid parts of the year.
The Sheer Lustre might work for those with drier skin and who desire a bit of sheen in their product. On the plus side, it didn't make me break out at all even though I have super sensitive skin and adult acne. So far, I've not had any reactions like that from Murad products.
I'll stick with the Murad Oil Mattifying formula -- much better fit for me.

I'm going to buy this after trying the sample. As an early 40's menapausal gal, my skin really looked good upon using this and applying my makeup. I think other reviewers are using too much. One sample gave me two days worth. I think you should be very hormonally challanged to appreciate it.
