Quick Take: soft shimmer
I love this luminizer and the way its subtle, yet effective. My only complaint is how the pump will shoot out way too much product after only pressing down ever so lightly. I wish that Lorac would create a better dispenser pump so that there isn't so much wasted product each time I use it. Otherwise, if it weren't for the weird pump, I'm 100% satisfied with this product!

I have L2. Every time I use it, a couple of pimples tend to appear. I wash my face just like any other day, but maybe I do need to be extra careful when I use the product. Other than that, this is a great addition. I mix with liquid foundation to add some color.

New to Lorac brand and loving it! Writing my first reviews (ever) on THEIR products, so you know they have to be AMAZING. Using this luminizer with Lorac breakthrough performance foundation (very little is needed) and it is wonderful! Nice glow without appearing glittery. Simply beautiful. (I am a very fair natural redhead with pink undertones.) Using the lighter (color) luminizer over the SMS1 foundation and it looks great!

Quick Take: soft shimmer
The color is non-existent and that is a good thing; it blends right into your make-up and delivers a subtle shimmer. I am fair and bought the lighter of the two, per other users advice and I am glad I did. Other luminizers I had used always made my make-up greasy and although I have dry skin, I don't want it to look oily either. Great product and it is free of many of the chemicals used in other luminizers.

I ordered this after reading the reviews and I am very pleased. I was trying to fight the look of dull winter skin. The gold is highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. I use it all over my face UNDER my concealer and Bare Escentuals make up. It's like the perfect primer for a bit of healthy glow. Lasts all day and is not greasy.

Quick Take: pigmented, shimmer
Works great as a liquid shimmery bronzer, but would not recommend for a highlighter unless you are very dark skinned. I am an NC40 and this is a bronzer on me. Very pigmented, a little goes a long way. If you are looking for a highlighter try the lighter shade, it is fantastic!!

Perfect hint of shimmer

Quick Take: soft shimmer, buildable shimmer, lasts all day
This looks great, even on my fair winter skin. The shimmer lasts all day and it's easy to apply with fingers or with a brush. Also, unlike other luminizers I've tried, it's a buildable coverage- on most days I use it on a brush as a highlighter under my brows and inner eye, but I've also done a dewy look without any added shadow and on cheek bones.
Love that it's oil free and no fragrance.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks when I'm able to get a little tan.
Also many reviewers mention the pump, how it dispenses too much at once--my fix: unscrew the lid and take as much as needed from the bottom of the pump. No waste.

This is my very first Lorac purchase, and I am quickly learning that Lorac is a great brand!
I love these I bought both the Pearl and Gold.
Although they are pricey, the bottle will seriously last you forever. And they are great quality. They are much better than my MAC lustre drops, which I loved.
One drop goes a long way. I use the one drop to highlight my cheekbones, my brow bone, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid's bow. It makes your skin glow and gives you a really awake and healthy look.

i bought it recently because i wanted something to give me that great shine you often see in magazine pictures and THIS DOES IT!! i love it! i usually just open the bottle and dab some on my finger, the pump puts out wayyy more than you need. dab some on your cheekbones after foundation and before applying blush/bronzer and you get these great pictures that glow!

This is similar to the Laura Merier (expensive) lightening or secret brightening pen, and also be used on the cheaks. I seldom ever use up an entire bottle of any product. I tend to move onto the next thing and throw away lots of product. I am now on my second bottle. I do not use the pump, but dab some on my clean hand and then put where I want to brighten or lighten or luminize. It lasts a very long time and if you like the Laura Mercier secret brightening pen you will find this to do the same thing and even more, at a fraction of the cost. Well woth the money.

these luminizers are great, they are subtle but can be extravagantly luminous, of course it all depends on personal taste. L1 is good for fair skin and L2 is good for medium to dark skin tones. it is also long lasting, all you need is 1/2 a pump of this product, or less- and you're good to go. could also be used when mixing your liquid foundation for nice dewy appearance. great product!

I really like this product. I bought this after a store associate recommended it in place of the Smashbox luminizer that was out of stock forever. I will use this over foundation, blended with foundation, alone lightly over the whole face, or on certain spots. I have also used this on the cleavage area when wearing a low cut top. A full pump is too much product, but most of the time I can get just enough to do what I need.
One thing I wish was better is the blendablity. I like to preblend this product with my foundation ahead of time in a small container. It separates easily and must be remixed with every use.

This is the best luminizer in terms that it gives you the glow, but not sparkly. Like the pearl color with a hint of pink as well. The biggest drawback is the "glow" effect does not seem to last.
