Gentle but effective

I got this as part of the 30-day kit and liked how it was effective but also didn't dry up my face like a lot of cleansers I have tried. It has definitely helped clear up my skin (with the combination of the exfoliating gel, also from this Murad line). $26 seems a lot for some face wash, but it will last you a long time! Happy I found this product.

Over the years I have used a variety of cleansers, none of which compare to the effectiveness of Murad. I use just about a dime-sized amount with my Clarisonic brush.

Brought my skin to pretty good but not great

After switching up my normal skin care routine, I had two months of the worst break-outs ever! I normally have combo skin w/ occasional break-outs on my forehead and chin, but after my awful break-outs started, I had more pimples all over, flakiness, and blackheads/whiteheads on my t-zone. I started my new skin care regiment by buying and using a Clarisonic with Boscia purifying cleansing gel. My skin didn't get better, but it didn't get worse either. Then I saw all the great reviews and decided to start using the Murad clarifying cleanser. I swear I noticed a difference in my skin right away! My skin was softer, more even, and felt tight (in a good way, not that "stretched out" feeling you can have after using a really drying cleanser). My flakiness was gone and hasn't been back since. My pores still seem "clogged," a problem I didn't used to have before my big break-out, and I still have minor break-outs on my forehead and around my mouth (also a new break-out area for me). I've been experimenting with moisturizers, including Murad ones, and haven't found one that I love, so that could explain the clogged pores and minor break-outs. I wouldn't say this was a miracle cure for my skin issues, but it brought me to a pretty good place.

this saved my skin! totally works.not for extreme acne tho,only pimples here and there.i used to have this one spot on my chin where pimples were really painfull and kept coming back and after about a month of using this,my skin is totally clear and free of any pimples. made my skin less oily also. ive had this bottle 3 months and i still have some left.already bought a new bottle! defenatly worth the try!

It's the best thing I have found for my very acne-prone, mid-40's skin. I buy the larger tube, and it lasts me for a good long while. I used to buy a salicylic acid scrub from a well-known brand, and I would use that stuff much faster, and I did not get the results that I get from the Murad cleanser. As long as I am good about washing my makeup off every night, it keeps my skin pretty clear.

I received a sample of this in an It Kit last year, and fell in love immediately. This is the only skin cleanser that I've used that doesn't dry out my face entirely. I still use a moisturizer after washing my face with it, but every other face cleanser I have used has left my face dry, flaky, and painfully taut with daily use. Murad is different. Love it.

Best Acne cleanser I've ever tried

This was the first product I tried by Murad and now I've purchased 3 more! This cleanser really makes my face feel clean and clarified. It reduces redness and I don't even have to spot treat blemishes when I use this. It also smells really lemony and fresh! It doesn't strip the skin but it gets your face really clean. I use it with my clarisonic and it works wonders! I definitely recommend it! If you're a teen like me, or if you struggle with the occasional stubborn breakout, definitely try this out! I've used everything from proactive to clean and clear, but nothing has worked like this! Plus it's free of parabens and other preservatives and things!

Container design leaks

The clarifying cleanser itself seems to be fine. My problem is the design of the container. The bottom lid does not close properly and when you stand it up, the tube leaks. Twice the container has leaked product all over my bathroom countertop. What a waste of $26!

Best cleanser ever, improved my acne and left skin smooth but never dried out (in combination with the Skin Perfecting Lotion and the Exfoliant serum). Removes makeup if use a washcloth, and like it better than Perricone's cleanser. My skin feels so great!

Let me start off by saying I have HUGE pores and I am always oily no matter what so I would never even dream of putting moisturizer on my face. After using this one time, it totally eliminated my oily skin and I see a 50% reduction in blackheads because of this (I don't have acne). Also, my skin just looks so much better because I can now wear moisturizer and sunscreen everyday, which before I started using this I would never because I didn't want to clog my pores or add anything that might make me look greasy to my face. I love this stuff.

This is my favorite face wash I can not live without! Both my husband and I have oily skin, blackheads and little break outs. This is one cleanser I love and doesn't agitate my sensitive skin. I've seen a difference since I started using it 4 years ago.

Can't say how much I LOVE this product. I have tried many MANY different products for my skin. I had severe acne, literally tried everything from drugstore brand to proactive to dermatologist recommended products. I don't even know how much I spent it got that crazy! I'm so lucky I found this. I was a little worried seeing some reviews saying it never worked but I'm so glad I didn't let those review scare me away from this product!
This works WONDERS and I would definitely recommend this to ANYONE who has been fighting acne. I used this for about a month and my face cleared up about 90% from washing my face 2-3 times daily. And I have SEVERE acne to the point where Drs said there was no hope. I have also heard that depending on skin type, it will take awhile for a product to work on your skin - kind of like your skin is trying to figure out what the product is trying to do to it. So if you don't see results that quickly, don't give up on it!
Honestly, after my first bottle I figured I can wait a little while before getting another - if I even needed another. A week without Murad, acne was slowly making it's way back. Started with one and multiplied daily. As soon as I finally got a second bottle (about 3 days in) clear skin again!
It's refreshing, it cleans off my makeup completely and it prevents my acne coming back. I honestly have nothing bad against this and I usually am good at finding faults.
The only bad thing I can find with some people is that it will dry your skin. I have combination skin but more oily than dry. Sometimes I will have some dry areas so I would recommend using a good moisturizer just so your skin doesn't dry out!
Oh and the best part, you don't have to get the Murad Acne Kit. I just tried this cleanser! Hands down best thing I've ever came across

I've been using this face wash for about a year now and it is the only product that has ever worked for me. I had terrible break outs and tried every system, facewash, pill out there. The Murad system really worked for me. Now I only have to use the face wash it has totally cleared up my skin with out drying it out.

I was recommended to use this product from a sephora employee. I must say it is amazing and alongside my clarisonic leaves my skin feeling fresh. I have tried other cleansers from the drugstore because this product is a little pricey so i wanted to try other products but they didnt work as well as this did. I also noticed that my acne scars seemed to start fading after using this which was also a huge plus for me. Ive had this product for two months and use it everyday and still have 80% of the product still in the bottle. A little goes a long way. I also use it at times to clean my back which can also break out at times and ive had great results with that as well.

Seems like I've used it all and nothing worked. This has cleared up my skin! I have oily skin but I do find that this cleanser leaves my cheeks dry. Would recommend getting a good moisturizer but I love this!!
