Lemony dish soap anyone?

Just to give you an idea of some of the perfumes I like: clinique happy, dior j'adore, coach poppy flower, and chanel 5
Though I like perfumes, I'm not actually the type to religiously put anything on daily, just special occasions. I prefer smelling fresh out of the shower. So, when I received a sample of this, MAN did I totally fall in love with it. It smelled so clean and fresh (not too flowery). It just made you think of soap, really like you just came out of the shower. Wearing this made me feel happy and pretty. I mean, to the point that I was putting this on before going to bed.. I just loved it so much and the scent stayed well into the morning.
That tiny little vial had me addicted and within two days I was running to Sephora to buy the 2oz bottle. Then, for some reason, I wasn't so impressed anymore. The longer I had it on, the more the lemony scent was being accentuated. Not sure if that's just how the product smells on me, how it reacts to my smell or what? And no, I'm not the type to over spray and walk around in a cloud of fumes (I would usually spray once in the air and walk into it or spray once on my wrist and rub that on my other wrist and neck).
I'm not sure what it is, but the sample seemed sweeter and just fresh. The bigger bottle smelled like dish soap -- literally like a lemony dish soap. So, yah, VERY CLEAN cuz it smells like you just finished washing the dishes or cleaning your house. I started to get this acidic feeling in my throat when I had it on and I also noticed that this does not stay on too long at all -- 3 hours maybe.
The difference in the tiny vial and the real deal had me so puzzled that I double checked if I bought the right one (i did, sigh). I'm so sad about it after spending near $100 on the biggest bottle... still have the tiny vial though (still love it)

I have no idea what these people are talking about! I get no lemony or disinfectant smell AT ALL. I got this perfume as a free sample and my first thought was how fresh and clean it smelled. And everyone I let smell it thought it was amazing, too. I think it's good for women who don't like fruity, kiddish smells or strong, old lady smells. It's just a perfect balance between the two.

Based on the product ratings, I had high hopes for this fragrance. The "soap" description should be taken VERY literally. If you like the overpowering smell of the generic soap one would find in a budget hotel room, this is the scent for you! Definitely didn't work for me. I actually had to throw the sample away.

Okay so this is a love hate relationship. I love the clean smell....but! With that being said I do not like smelling like lemon dish soap or a porta potty. Not a "perfume", I do LOVE the fresh laundry!! Oh and it doesnt last long at all.

Smells like soap with a hint of sweet citrus that is barely noticeable. I would like it if the sweetness was a little more prominent...but it's not. It's TOO clean.

This smells exactly like lemon-scented dish soap. At first I was thinking maybe it could work as a linen spray, but after a little while it gave me a headache. I don't understand the appeal at all.

This definitely lives up to it's name. When I first smelled this I couldn't put my finger on the exact scent, fresh laundry? Fresh out of the shower? Then it dawned on me, it smells exactly like lemon lysol disinfecting wipes. It's not as bad as that sounds. LOL. It's very fresh and soapy so if you like that, this is for you.

Clean is intoxicating and orignal. It smells fresh but not flowery. It goes on strong and a little goes a long way but as it wears out, the scent lingers and lasts throughout day/night. Well worth the price.

I normally love orange, lime and pink grapefruit, and I had great expectations for this fragrance based on the reviews. I was extremely disappointed. I'm a number of years from being a little old lady, and I certainly don't want to smell like one. When I wear this, I smell like rose talcum powder, which was definitely not what I was going for.

Perfect for everyday use

I bought this because I needed a light, fresh "everyday" fragrance that I could wear to the office. It's perfect, it smells just like the bottle says: clean. I layer it over Philosopy's Pure Grace body lotion, it gives it staying power without making it overwhelming.

I love clean-smelling products anyway and this scent is so aptly named. I very rarely buy fragrance due to allergies, but when I tried a sample of "Clean", I somehow had to have it. Even my husband who could care less about women's cologne liked it!
