worst moisterizer burned my eyes

smells horrible and the smell stays on your skin. I would apply it around the eye area and my eyes will still burn, I had to make sure I washed my hands after applying it.

Good moisturizer, but stings and stinks

My friend highly recommended this to me so I bought the 2oz. I apply it all over the face at night along with eye creme. I do notice that my skin has been breaking out less and feels supple. My skin is not terribly oily and I don't really feel the need to wash in the morning. One thing I do dislike is that it stings my eyes and makes me tear up if I get anywhere close to the apples of my cheeks. I think I will repurchase when I complete it

Horrible smell

I had read other reviews about the smell but thought it couldn't be THAT bad. I was so wrong. Received samples at the counter this weekend and tried it tonight. It smells like strong MILDEW. It was SO bad that I washed it off immediately and put on my regular lotion but I could still smell Hope In A Jar. I would never purchase this product.

Quick Take: lightweight, brightening, intensifies dark spots
I loved this creme, however I have freckles and they began to increase and stand out. At first I loved it, but I'm afraid that if I continue to use it they will combine and clump together causing brown-ish blotches on my face. It already began to happen as I finished my 2oz jar.

Quick Take: oily, weird smell
When I first got this, I really liked it. It was a little oily on the face so I wouldn't recommend it if you have oily skin. I thought it smelled okay, something milky...I can't really describe it. After taking a slight break from it, I went back to this product and for some reason, the smell really bothered me. Maybe it's just me, but now I don't use it anymore. Other than that, it was pretty moisturizing (I have combo skin).But I feel like I (and perhaps you) could do much better with a different product.

The best moisturizer. Hydrating, but light. Within about 2 weeks, my sensitive skin has more even tone. No more red blotchy skin and just a nicer soft texture. Good scent, too. :-)

I only received a sample of this moisturizer, but as I started applying it, I noticed that it really stinks. The scent reminds me of that strong, chemical hair dye smell, so I could not even keep it on. I had to wash it off immediately.

I tried out the 2oz jar of this cream to see how it worked for me and I'm really impressed. It keeps my combination skin soft and smooth and never too dry or too oily. My skin also looks less red, which I'm happy about too. I'll definitely be purchasing the larger jar next time!

Recently bought the .5 oz as a trial. Over the past couple years I've been trying to find a moisturizer that would address my beginning signs of aging. I don't have to look any further. This in one week has significantly brightened my skin. I love that I really don't need to put on a lot of makeup after applying this. Although, the smell was a hit strong at first I have quickly gotten over this when seeing the results I have in only the first week of using this and Purity made simple. I am a Philosophy fan for life now!

The texture is light and creamy. This cream made my face look smooth and "dewy" without looking overly moisturized or oily. My skin feels so smooth after using, but I just cannot get over the smell! I'm not sure if I got an old batch or one that had gone bad or something, but this stuff smells really bad. It smells almost chemical or medicinal. I really cannot get pass the strong odor of this cream! Too bad because it does make my face look and feel great....

Stinks

I hate this cream. I have had a sample of this for a while and never opened it. Well I just opened it tonight, I put some on my hand to feel the texture. I took a whif of it and oh my goodness it smells horrible. I had to wash it off my hand right away. What kind of odor is this? I wouldn't even be able to put this anywhere near my face. So unfortunately, I can't comment on the product...the smell put me off right away.

I got a small jar of HiaJ with a combo pack, and while I had used the dry/sensitive skin moisturizer before and found it a hair too heavy and greasy, this was perfect. It absorbed quickly, was very lightweight and my dry cheeks have been great ever since. However! It smelled like plastic. The dry/sensitive smelled great and I had the 2 oz for literally 2 years before using it all, and I'm wondering if this was some sort of off-production day or what for this particular jar. So while I'd like to get more, the plasticky smell gives me a headache! Is this common?
