Quick Take: exfoliating
I've purchased many products to help with my breakout and uneven skin tone. I definitely see and feel a difference when I don't use it. For the past year I've been breaking out like crazy. It's the obnoxious tiny pimples that form in colonies. Once I started to use this I noticed I had fewer pimples. My skin also looks great and has a glow to it. I stopped using it for 3 weeks after my finals and noticed how I started to breakout again.. For the past 2 weeks I used it again and it's back to minimal breakouts. I would recommend this product if you're not allergic to retinol!

Quick Take: exfoliating
I used prescription strength Retin-A for years and had super touchy skin on my face. This cream keeps my breakouts to a minimum without making my skin appear red and dry. It doesn't work quite as well on wrinkles, but I'm willing to make that concession.

I had tried a Philosophy daily moisturizer before and wasn't impressed, but I never write off an entire brand based on one product. The "Help Me" retinol cream is awesome. I noticed my skin looked brighter in just a couple of days & definitely felt softer. I think it's a great product for the money.

I was skeptical of ordering this product online, never having even sampled it before. But I had begun using some other Philosophy products and was pleased, so I figured I'd just return it if it didn't live up to the hype. Well...it totally impressed me. After the first night, I noticed my sun spots/dark spots seemed lighter. Skin seemed smoother. Wrinkles seemed less prominent. I've only been using it about 3 weeks now, but I love it and won't stop using it anytime soon. I've not had any irritation or redness or dryness. I've had fewer breakouts (didn't have many before, but have had virtually none now) I use it every night and then top with Hope in a Jar moisturizer and my skin looks better than it has in a very long time!

Quick Take: diminishes fine lines
Bought this to help reduce under-eye wrinkles, as I'm 24 and already getting smile lines. Have only been using this a few weeks and I really like it - goes on smooth, feels nice on your skin and does seem to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Not a miracle worker but I'll continue using it.

I first tried the deluxe sample of this and got noticeable results in less than 2 weeks. Fine lines and wrinkles were so much smoother or barely there. I trust this product and have the full size one now that I use nightly. I tried this and 3 other brands but Help Me was by far the best of them all.

after 3 weeks, I believe I can say my skin is more even-toned and just a bit 'fresher' in appearance. I use every other night before moisturizer and I am a religious user of spf 45. My skin is a bit sensitive and I have had no issues with this retinol. Recommend for anyone wishing for more than just 'scrub treatments-

I can't say enough good things about this product. I only wish I had taken before and after pictures, but I didn't because I have always been so incredulous about beauty products. I have used this product for about 2 months now, and I have to say that my pores are significantly smaller. I don't have to wear a lot of foundation anymore to hide the pores, and I can see that my face all-around looks healthier. It definitely delivers what it promises and it's really one of the more reasonably priced products of its kind out there. Highly recommend.

I almost returned this and I'm so glad I didn't! After about 2 weeks of use, I couldn't see any difference in my skin. It was around a month or using it every night that I started to see a difference. I used to have at least one breakout a week but this seems to keep it under control. And when I do have one, it is easier to deal with and seems to go away quicker. I've also noticed it has helped with the discoloration. It's very moisturizing but I use a moisturizer on top of it. It is pricey, but I use it every night and I see myself having it for a while.

Right away I saw an improvement in my skin: smaller pores, a HUGE improvement in my sebaceous hyperplasia and less fine lines. I have oily skin, but I feel like I need to use a moisutrizer (argan oil) on top of it. This combination seems to be a match made in heaven!

Why I didn't ave it sooner?? This tuff works wonders . I love it . My skin I better, brighter, smoother, wrinkles are less noticeable...... Can't be happier. Using it over a month now .. I apply moisturizer after cause it dries out my skin a little bit

It's not a cure all but it does make my skin look nice in the morning, like a have a nice glow. It's helped with acne and roughness. However if you really want this to work you need to use it regularly, you need to exfoliate regularly, and you need to use a good quality sunscreen every day.

Easy on the skin, hard on blemishes

I am in my mid thirties with oily, acne prone skin. When I am faithful to washing my face every night and putting this on before my moisturizer, I don't break out. Period.
It's not drying on your skin, though I would recommend skipping this if you are doing an enzyme peel or other acid-ey mask on your skin for a night. I put it on my entire face, then follow up with the Philosophy moisturizer.
I've never had a problem with bleached/stained towels, pillow cases or clothes, like I did with other types of retinol based products.
I know it's probably helping with anti-aging (or at least I like to tell myself that) but from a controlling my acne perspective, this stuff is MAGIC.

I had some really unattractive scarring and this product really helped! The scars are almost completely gone. I use it every night and it has lasted over a month-and I still have some left in the tube. I absolutely recommend this product!
