For many reasons, this is the best deodorant I have ever used. I have incredibly sensitive skin and among irritations, deodorants tend to cause the skin in my armpits to darken. This product absolutely causes zero irritation and I haven't had any issues with my skin darkening. In fact, I believe my armpit skin looks and feels healthier after having used this product for 2 years. It applies smoothly, doesn't feel sticky, or too heavy, and dries fairly quickly. I will add, I do not use deodorant daily, and when I do, I apply a small amount. I hope this review helps somebody decide to try this product.

The only deodorant that consistently works for me

This has been the best deodorant I have ever tried - everything else either had major flaws (left white marks on my clothing, left white waxy smears embedded in the armpits of my shirts that wouldn't come out in the wash, irritated my skin), stopped working after a while or plain didn't work at all. I've been using this roll-on for four years and it has never failed me. It's gentle on my sensitive skin, and it keeps me dry and odor free.
Now I can't find this in stock anywhere. Not at any Sephora, and not in any L'Occitane.
Another reviewer below stated that it has been discontinued, so I called L'Occitane to confirm. I was told by a customer service agent that the deodorant is being reformulated in France to remove the aluminum and their *estimated* time for it to be back on shelves is in spring.

Best Deodorant I've Ever Used

Quick Take: effective, natural
I have nothing bad to say about this product. I'd looked into natural deodorants and tried Lavanilla first, which gave me burning red bumps on my pits. Not cute. After using it for a couple days, I went back to Sephora and bought this. It actually cleared the bumps up just in time for a wedding I attended. That might be because of the essential oils.
It has a fresh, clean smell which fades after it dries. This to me is better than regular deodorant. I always found at the end of the day, I would smell like a mix of the scent of the deodorant and sweat. Not the case with L'Occitane. I don't smell at all, even at the end of a long day of work and class. Perfect.
I highly highly recommend.

5 stars for the product, which I don't know how I'm going to live without! 1 star for L'Occitane which is forever discontinuing products!! Terrible way to encourage brand loyalty! I guess I will now have to rely solely on the Clarins deodorant which is the only other one that works for me.

Love this deodorant! It has a lemon scent to it that fades away after minutes but is non harsh on my sensitive skin. It will not burn after shaves or will stain your clothe because it's like a clear gel.

Quick Take: natural soothing wonderful.
I really like this roll-on. It goes on clear, stays clear and has a clean, natural smell. I wear it daily, even during the hottest days and during work-outs, and it does exactly what it claims; keeps me dry and smelling natural. As women, we wear many scents-body lotion, body spray, perfume, soaps, etc. Our deodorant should not compete-and who wants to smell like Secret Shower Fresh anyways? No funky smells here, just natural, skin soothing deodorant.

It has been an ongoing search for a safer ingredients base deodorant/antipersperaint that actually works. Finally, I found it. I live in a year-round warm/hot/humid state and so far this deodorant has been fantastic. It goes on wet and easy, smells so good. It dries quickly and lasts all day. Love the essential oils, such a smart and effective idea...

I really wanted to like this, as I am in love with many L'Occitane products. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, my smelly armpits (sorry for being graphic) did not allow me to. I was aware that it is not an anti-perspirant but only a deodorant when I purchased this. However, based on the raving reviews, I decided to give it a chance. Result: heavenly fresh scent, zero protection from wetness or odor...so back it went.
P.S. 2 stars given for the scent and overall respect for the brand:)

Quick Take: disappointing
I had high hopes for this deodorant. It goes on well, does not seem to stain clothing, has a light fresh scent. At first it worked beautifully. However, after using this product for about a week I found that I could not count on it being totally effective every day. It is also interesting to me that the product is marketed as a "purifying" and natural deodorant, but it contains aluminum. I was willing to tolerate the aluminum if it provided dependable protection, however it did not. However, everyone's system is different. Perhaps it will work for you!
