This was recommended because my hair is growing back weak from Chemo. I have used it for a few weeks and I am impressed so far. Only draw back is the smell...but it does wash out without lingering.

Been a while since I last used this. Been around for a long time, because it is so miraculous. Made my scalp feel alive again. From first application, my scalp felt revived, and healthy. .

Huge difference
-05.25.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results
I have only used this product a few days now and I see and feel a huge difference. Over the last few years I have noticed my scalp, mainly around my ears and the back of my crown, have been itchy and dry. It's mainly in the winter and when I'm stressed. I wear all black for work so it's super noticeable and very embarrassing. I have tried it all ...Head and Shoulders, Neutregena TGel, and Selson Blue, none that really seemed to remedy the problem. I figured I would try this out before going to the dermatologist. I love it. I feel it instantly when I rub it in. The flakes aren't completely gone but it's only the third application. I have read that some people leave it in over night so I am going to try that too. The smell is strong but it's to be expected and isn't all that bad at all. Also as a plus I am trying to grow my hair out. So this product basically has it all for me.

Did not like this product. Used it for about a month and a half and i noticed increased shedding. It also has a very strong smell. Smells usually do not bother me but this stayed in my hair for a long time... even after multiple washes. My hair did feel clean and light afterwards... but i was looking for a product to stop shedding and this just wasn't it.

Works for Me
-05.20.13
Quick Take: multi-step, quick results
My hair has been oily since I can remember. I also have dandruff that worsens during the winter months and when I am stressed. After the first application of this, I noticed that I didn't have to wash my hair every like I have been (which is also bad for hair, but my hair is sooo oily), and that my head doesn't itch as much. I used it on a Sunday and the next Saturday and those 2 applications have helped a lot! Now I just use it when I feel my hair/scalp is getting out of balance. There is a strong smell, but it is earthy and not chemical-smelly. Definitely to be done in an open space if possible!

Great for dry scalp
-05.08.13
Quick Take: easy to use
I bought this because I cannot get rid of my dry, itchy scalp. I have fine, oily hair so I have to wash it so frequently it really takes a toll on my scalp. This goes on and it feels great immediately. While I'm waiting for it to soak in before shampooing, I can feel the coolness penetrate my scalp and it finally feels better. I can't speak to how it treats oily/thinning hair (I have always had oily hair and it is much thinner now due to a thyroid condition) because I haven't used it as consistently as I plan to. But I do know I love what it does to treat the dryness/itchiness. Definitely worth it.

Seems to work

Quick Take: easy to use
Yes, the smell is strong (strongly herbaceous), but not necessarily bad. Important thing is, my scalp issues (itchy and sometimes scabby) are improving.

Great results for thinning hair!
-04.23.13
Quick Take: easy to use, thin hair fuller!
I'm 34 and found I was more stressed than ever recently, and my already thin hair was falling out in big clumps. Showers stressed me out.. I am so grateful to tried this. Shedding reduced drastically and after 1 bottle I see baby hairs coming in. Smell doesn't bother me.. It is strong, but I can get past that knowing it works. Use overnight, 3 nights a week. On my second bottle. Pricey, but worth it.

Before my scalp was always dry and itchy. I would cover my scalp in oil, however nothinh would work. I tried this, and i noticed a huge difference in my scalp. My chemically relaxed hair doesnt itch, its not dry, and noticed less breakage. The smell is strong, but thankfully you get to shampoo it out. I love this product and hope this review helps!

I noticed some dryness this winter around my bangs on my scalp, especially after blow drying. It would flake throughout the day and by end of day was embarrassing. I tried dry oils, but nothing worked as quickly as this. I have used twice this week and the flakes are gone. Yes, the smell is strong, but it is not worth passing up this great product!

Strong Smell Tells Me It WORKS
-01.27.13
I read many online articles about how to encourage faster, healthier hair growth. This product contains all the ingredients mentioned in what I've read, and its supposed to smell strong! The strong smell almost goes away after the first wash, just a light sage scent left, but goes completely away after the second wash. It's only a once a week treatment, which in willing to go through to get improved circulation and healthier, faster growing hair! My hair is shortish/ medium and I'm trying to grow it long..I've used this for two weeks and so far I love it. :) I can feel it working on my scalp, ever so slight tingling sensation on my scalp...I only leave it on 20 minutes then wash per the instructions, and by the time I shampoo, condition, and use my hairspray the smell is not really noticeable, and is completely gone at the second wash. Honestly, I think if a product has this strong smell, it has a STRONG effect, which I want! Just read the ingredient list: this is universal stuff agreed to improve circulation, growth and healthy hair! I will buy again if they get more :)

Relief at last...
-01.15.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results, relief to itchy scalp
My scalp has been flaky all my life but nothing would help. I'm always embarrassingly fidgeting to scratch, sometimes I get large flakes and there have been times where I've gotten sores from scratching and it's worse during the cold dry winter. Read some reviews on here and decided to give it a try for some relief this winter.
I've been using it for 3 weeks now and my scalp looks noticeably better. It still gets itchy in some spots but it's much improved. It does smell medicinal but not chemically, rather, more natural and I don't mind.
Method: I use the Phyto oil before bed 2-3 times per week and wash my hair in the morning. I randomly part my hair in the areas that feel itchy, tip the bottle directly onto my scalp until I feel it drip onto the scalp and massage it in and around. After a few spots, I do an overall head massage to finish.

Great
-01.05.13
Quick Take: easy to use, quick results
With the quick changes in winter weather, I found myself with some dandruff and very itchy scalp. After some research, I decided to buy this. As I was purchasing this the sephora sales associate told me she had been using it for a few months since she dyed her hair and kept getting breakage. You could tell her hair had grown out. After seeing this, I was sold. I have been using this for about a month and a half, I have no more itching, no dandruff. My baby hairs at my crown seem to be growing. The scent is very potent. I don't find it to be off putting unless I am already queasy. You do have to have a strong stomach for the scent. I would say do it on the days you feel good. I usually keep it in for about an hour. I would def purchase again since I can tell my baby hairs are growing longer.

Oily scalp cured!
-12.30.12
After the first use I noticed a marked improvement! I have an oily, dandruff-prone scalp and my hair is noticably thin. My scalp isn't oily at all after the first use and my hair felt so healthy and held a style so well. I have only used it twice so I can't attest to its hair growth properties yet, but my scalp is so much healthier. Who would have thought an oil would remedy scalp oiliness?! Love this product!

Great For Dandruff
-12.17.12
Quick Take: easy to use
I have been using the Phytopolleine after reading an article on New Beauty that said this product is the solution for all hair. Since I started using it, it has cleared up my scalp and dandruff, my hair is shinier, and looks healthier. Although it smells like tea tree/ Vik's vapor, it is worth using twice a week. Use it in the evening when you are home and with a thorough wash and condition the smell won't be noticeable. I highly recommend this product!

Great solution for dry scalp
-12.17.12
Quick Take: takes about 10 minutes to apply to scalp.
I've had very dry, unhealthy scalp for a few years. My hack dermatologist told me that I was going bald and made me purchase over 300 dollars worth of "their" medication. This product has done so much better than medication. It really helps with dry scalp and you probably only need to use it once a week.

Verdict still out...but all signs are good!
-11.27.12
Quick Take: effective, strong smelling
I have psoriasis on my scalp, and the medication I was prescribed came with side effects that were just as bad as the disease itself: terribly dry scalp with extreme flaking. The big thick flakes all over my shoulders and in my hair were so embarassing, in the end I just quit using the prescription and lived with the pain, itching, and general discomfort of the disease. I can honestly say that Phytopolleine Universal Elixir has helped somewhat. The first day that I use it, my scalp feels extremely senstive, but it's much less itchy and painful; it feels clean and there is very little flaking. The next day is even better - virtually NO pain, itching, or flakes. Having a pain- and flake-free day is worth it to me. The smell is very, very strong - it permeates every corner of the house and my dogs won't come near me before I shampoo it out - but it's an herbal, astringent fragrance and not unappealing to me. I took off one star because I think the applicator sucks - I'd much rather have something I can squeeze and have more control over - but even with that, I will definitely buy again.

I am NOT a fan of this stuff. It has done absolutely nothing for my hair except make it smell like an herb store. I plan on returning it.
