OILY SKIN GIRLS STAY AWAY!- 11.06.09
Quick Take: non-drying, easy to apply, too shimmery, not for very oily skin types
I really want to love this product, really I do, and there are some good things about it but I'm not sure they can make up for the bad things about this foundation. This foundation is VERY shimmery, and shimmery does not necessarily look natural. Also because it's so shimmery, you can't build up the coverage or else you're left with shimmery/obviously pearlescent patches on your skin where you tried to apply a little more foundation.This may work ok for girls with normal or even dry skin (provided if you have dry skin you used moisterizer first), but if your skin is oily like mine, this will leave you looking like a super shiny disco ball after a few hours (even with primer). Obviously, if I'm wearing foundation, I want it to last through my school/work day and 3 or 4 hours just DOES NOT CUT IT. So in other words, this is not a long lasting foundation and it is horrible at doing anything to control or mask oilyness. The only thing I like about this is that its overall a lightweight foundation, it seems to be good for your skin(or atleast not terrible), and the loose powder format is really easy and nice to apply, even if you've never used a loose powder & a brush before.
I love this foundation. I have very sensitive skin and this product does the job of covering my face without looking like makeup, feeling heavy, or powdery. I always forget I'm wearing it. I love it!
absolutely love this product. it looks & feels natural and makes me look like i"m in my 20's!! I rarely have to apply again later after my morning application. love love love
You have GOT to start using this!!! Started in 2/08 and will NEVER go back to liquid makeup.. which is too heavy and clogs the pores, YUCK... this is light and makes your skin so soft and better complexion to boot!!

I bought this to mix with my beige matte foundation. So far it is working well. The light foundation is two yellowly for my skin and the beige is a bit to orangy since my skin is not as tan as it was in July. I like the combination of the matte with the orginal formula foundation. You should try it out.

easy foundation- 11.06.09
Quick Take: natural finish
this goes on very easy - easy to use - makes skin look smooth. i'm in my mid-40's and have coloration differences in my skin - this really evens it out and i don't look likei have a lot of makeup on. it covers spider veins in my cheeks and slight discolorations in skin tone. doesn't clog my pours either - so doesn't agrivate the acne.
I have been using this forever, so I guess that means I like it!

This is hands down the best foundation I've ever used. I am a big Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals fan and have used their products for about six years now. The foundation applies easily, gives flawless coverage without cakey buildup, and does not cause breakouts. It's simply the best!

This is a very natural looking and natural feeling foundation. IIt's light on the skin and easy on the pores. t provides for a youthful look, which is why, at 62, people take me for a decade younger. I love this makeup.

Quick Take: buildable coverage, natural finish
BareMinerals foundation is the only stuff I use anymore. I have an oily T-zone and acne-prone skin, and this covers up while keeping oil at bay. It doesn't irritate my skin or make acne worse if I have any.
It also lasts a really long time--the price is a great value for this product.

Not Right For Me- 11.05.09

I went into Sephora to get a new foundation. I'd heard great things from my cousin, who uses bareMinerals religiously. So I had an employee help me pick a color and put it on. I wanted the matte, but they didn't have the sampler one out in my color. The salesgirl said it wasn't that big of a difference, and grabbed the original formula and showed me how to buff it in. I think we have different ideas about how much base to wear, because she really caked it on. It looked ok though, and i figured if I just did it myself it would work well. Then she told me that she thought I should get the original formula, since it worked so nicely, and assured me there was hardly a difference. I figured she knew best, and bought that color in original formula. Sadly, applying it myself at home, I have discovered that the color is not quite right; it's a bit too orange for my face. The only way to make it look natural is to really cake it on. If I brush it in too lightly, the area where my brush touches first looks orange and the rest looks like my regular skin color. In addition, my t-zone shines even after application. I don't know about you, but I consider eliminating shine a big part of the reason I wear powder. I think that next time, if I get the right color in the matte formula, this will work out better. As it is, I'd have to say the bareMinerals I got is just not right for me.

the O.G mineral foundation- 11.04.09

Often imitated... but not even close to being duplicated! I've been using Bare Escentuals foundation for almost 10 years (back when they used numbers to name them!). Just to compare, a few years back, I've tried other mineral foundations - both "high-end" and yes, even drugstore-brand - and nothing comes close. People tell me what great skin I have and depending on who's complimenting me, I'll smile and say "thanks!" or I'll share my beauty secret =) If you haven't tried Bare Minerals, what are you waiting for?!
This is a great foundation. I've tried just about every one out there and I've been a loyal fan for several years now. It's lightweight, yet provides great coverage and looks totally natural. This stuff even stands up to heat and humidity in the middle of a Florida summer! Absolutely fabulous!
I've used bareMinerals Foundation for about 3 years now, and I don't even consider changing to any other line anymore. This stuff is just too wonderful, and friends of mine that have gotten turned on to it also agree that they love it and won't change back to anything else. It feels great on your skin (in fact, you can't feel it on your skin), quickly evens out my skin tone without making me look like I have anything on, and during those occasional times when I find myself HAVING to sleep without washing my face, doesn't ever make me break-out in the morning.
