Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune

Pamplelune is an immersion into the icy tingle of an effervescent citrus potion, blended with the warm embrace of sun-soaked patchouli and sensual vanilla. Like a day in Provence, its combination of coolness and warmth is both energetic and sophisticated.Notes:California Grapefruit, Italian Bergamot, Neroli, Petitgrain, Black Currant, Patchouli, Vanilla.Style:A sophisticated, sparkling, and mischievous fragrance. Quick Take: reusable, travel-friendly, excellent
Love this fragrance it is like a burst of fresh spring/summer sunlight , warm and citrusy. It also has a lovely dry down and last a very long time!

beautiful scent that smelled awful on me
-04.11.13
DEFINITELY ask for a sample of this so you can wear it a few days and see how your body chemistry reacts with it! it was a lovely scent that I wanted to love, but it smelled like cleaning product on me.

fabulous grapefriut perfume
-02.20.13
I am very pleased with this perfume. After reading a glowing review on the blog Bois de Jasmin, I got a sample from my local Sephora store. This perfume is a very true grapefruit that is earthy and not overly sweet or childish. It has a sillage and lasting power typical to a good quality eau de toilette.

Citrus for adults, not preteens!
-02.02.13
Quick Take: sophisticated
I first heard of this perfume on the blog Bois de Jasmin, which has a wonderful review from a perfume expert! Pamplelune smells wonderful on my skin. It wears closely, but has impressive lasting power for a citrus-scented eau de toilette.
My favorite part is that it is not overly sweet. I'm only 23, but so many perfumes today smell like the body spray I wore in middle school. This is not a Victoria's Secret/Escada type scent.

wonderful
-10.30.12
my only problem is that I can not find it in a PARFUM.
I love it. It is a necesity for that something different in the fragrance corner of your life. Bright and Fresh Yes, Grapefuit, but a sandalwoody/woods dry down. I do not wear patchoulli, but wear fragrances that have it in them. I do not smell it, I just smell a medium toned woods dry down. I love it and I want the PARFUM. I can not find it. Yes, I would take a bath in it.

Lovely
-09.23.12
Quick Take: uplifting, guy-friendly, light, youthful but not teen-aged
Light, charming, and mood-brightening. Really does have a pure citrus feeling - guys seem to like it more than most perfumes too. Can be worn for 3 seasons easily, and in winter in a warmer climate.
Few people wear it, so you don't have to worry about wearing the same scent as everyone else.

My Spring Perfume
-06.11.12
Quick Take: good value
It didn't appear to be one of the spring-ish perfume when I first tried it. It contains a special scent that I don't know how to descirbe....smells like fresh grapefruit from the tree. I personally like it a lot...however, I only use it during spring-summer time.

difficult to wear
-03.18.12
I think this is a fragrance that really depends on your body chemistry, the immediate note is grapefruit citrus, but for me the patchouli was all I smelled after a few minutes and as has been mentioned by others , on me, that translates into a really bad "cat box" odor, Guerlain is genius with fragrance so I dont think there is a problem with the formula but just that it can react badly on certain people, definatley try this one out before you buy, bottle is gorgeous !

fabulous but ephemeral
-02.10.12
the scent is absolutely stunning -- not too sweet and cloying, but still quite fresh. Sadly, it only lasts a short time -- hence the 4 stars instead of 5 -- and comes in a large glass bottle, so you can't really carry it around for touch ups and can't travel with it. Still, I love it, and keep a bottle on my desk at work.

Summer scent
-12.08.11
Quick Take: light breezy fresh citrus-smelling, high-quality product
This is a wonderful somewhat daring scent for summer. It's not common. It's unique and fun. The scent lasts for a long time. It's beautiful and you'll love wearing it. It's high quality.

Not for me ...
-11.28.11
Quick Take: strong, grapefruit
I tested this fragrance, and on my skin it really just smelled like a glass of grapefruit juice. After a little while, it softened and you could smell a bit of vanilla, but the grapefruit was still just too dominant for my taste.

My everyday scent
-11.10.11
How much do I love this perfume? SO VERY MUCH! This is my go-to everyday scent and I do not feel complete without it. I have been wearing it for 5 years now and every morning I spritz this on I feel awake, energized and ready to take on the world!!! I've tried other scents, but I've never stuck with them like Pamplelune. I've even gifted it to good friends who have loved the smell :)

Smells mind-blowingly good
-10.19.11
I'm a huge fan of anything citrus-y smelling, but a lot of the scents out there tend to be quite cloying with a lot of other smells mixed in. This is a lovely, quite light, and clean scent that smells mostly like grapefruit but has a warmer sort of vanilla smell too. Highly recommended - I've had universally positive reactions to people smelling it on me!

I think maybe the worst perfume I ever smelled!
-08.19.11
I was looking for a grapefruit perfume and tested this today. Wow it really was horrible, at least on me anyway. I opted for the fresh hesperides instead. I would suggest to anyone to try it before you order online. It defiantly had the litterbox smell on me. I scrubbed my wrist with soap and could still smell it so I guess at least it's staying power is pretty good.

oh Pamplelune!

I absolutely love Guerlain (and actually it was my great-grandfather who started it :) my middle name is Guerlain). My mom and my grandmother both wore Shalimar, which I think is just one of the most brilliant scents ever made, and my grandfather wears L'Imperial. I just think whatever they make is so classy and different.

In theory it sounds good...
-06.23.11
But in reality, it smells really awful on my skin. Guerlain fragrances always sound so mystical, but a couple have turned really awful on me. Unfortunately, this one really smells like a litterbox... it goes to prove that too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Sometimes, citrus needs to be tempered with something else. There are better bright, fresh citrus scents out there.

Basking in my new scent
-05.24.11
I love it. It's citrus for grownups. Like if Sophia Loren wore citrus this would be it. Yes, it does wear off kind of soon, but that's just a good excuse to re-apply and sniff those lovely top notes all over again! Thi s will be a forever favorite for sure!

Quick Take: a walk through a provence garden
i hadn't had this fragrance for a while, not sure why, but ordered it on a whim recently perhaps because the weather seems to be finally shifting into spring bliss and that is what this guerlain treasure is. the first spray was like walking out of the winter into bright clean sunshine. fresh and herbal, sparkling with grapefruit. it lasts all day and layers with other scents well. i put it together with a bergamot scent and it works perfectly.

Love, love, love, love

This fragrance is heavenly - and is the rarest of all things: a citrus scent that lasts. It's a sunny pink grapefruit, that just makes you feel optimistic smelling it.

Very natural, citrusy scent that doesn't have any hints of chemical - smells like you peeled a grapefruit and the juice squirted onto your skin ~ fresh, clean and sexy
