still not the holy grail...

... of moisturizers with antioxidant sunscreen. It's very nice and light, but it still makes my skin feel "wet" and heavy. I'm very happy with the UVA/UVB protection, and the SPF 30. I'm going to try it without any serum underneath, and see if that helps make it feel less like my face is greasy.

Quick Take: perfect
It's got that sunscreen-y smell that reminds you of being on the beach, and something about the finish makes my skin glow with just moisturizer. At first I thought it was pricey for the size but a little goes a long way so it lasts a while.

This sunblock/moisturizer is amazing, third year on it. I don't burn and it looks fine under makeup, improves my skin's texture and evens color. Not even sure how that's possible but I'll take it!

I purchased a value set of Roth products. This was part of that set. I have combination skin so what I like about this moisturizer is that it feels "dry" when it goes on. It absorbs quickly, and I do not have to wait for it to dry before putting something else on my face. But yet, it does hydrate the skin. Some moisturizers can break me out. This one does not. So for my skin, this is a great moisturizer.

Quick Take: effective
I am very pleased with this product. A sephora rep recommended it. Only need to use small amount. I tend to feel effects of too much sun exposure; therefore, I am very pleased with this product's coverage and effectiveness.

Too Greasy

Quick Take: too shiny for the face, moisturizing
I'm sure this is an excellent sunscreen ingredients-wise, and it is very moisturizing, but I found it way too greasy/shiny for my face. Even after I let it soak in a while and then used blotting papers, it left a greasy looking shine behind. I ended up using it on my neck, hands and arms. For less shine, try PTR's Uber-Dry Sunscreen SPF 30. Better yet, try Shiseido's Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 42 For Face.

Love this. I frequently work outside and always wear sunscreen. Most companies put the sunscreen in base or as a separate product. I love having a simple single product that I can apply in the morning no matter what and have sun protection. I have used it for more than a year and while it is a little pricy it does go a long way and I wouldn't use anything else.

Great Moisturizer with SPF. My skin looks incredible. However it is a bit shiny after I apply so I do need a primer to matte out my face.

I like how it feels and its definitely moisturizing. It s agreat daily moisturizer., but not much more than that.... no aging difference or improvements. Just good hydration. The only issue is that I am not convinced that the SPF is as good as 30 on it.

Best SPF Moisturizer

This is my all-time favorite SPF moisturizer. I have fair skin so daily SPF protection is very important to me, minimum SPF 30. I've tried many, many different brands and this is the only one that has good SPF protection, hydrates my moderately dry skin and most importantly, does NOT ball-up under makeup!

Defective Pump!

I love this moisturizer but after the first use the pump broke. So disappointing. Thankfully Sephora refunded my money but I wouldn't buy the product again for fear that it would happen again. I can't even figure out how to remove enough of the pump to get to the product. :(

Great but expensive

I have been using the Peter Thomas Roth Ultra-light Oil-free Sunblock every day for the last 12 years, but it has some problems (greasiness and running into my eyes). The Max Sheer Lotion has none of these problems. It feels great, looks matte without having a weird Elmer's glue texture (like the Uberdry Sunblock) and doesn't run into my eyes. But it costs almost 4 times as much as the Ultre-lite Sunblock, so I'm saving it up for special occasions.

Quick Take: smells like spf
I got this yesterday because I wanted a moisturizer with higher SPF that the one I use now. It enlarged my pores what I hated, feels kind of greasy, it was not a good under makeup moisturizer, around 3 hours later my makeup was gone! Also it made my makeup look cakey!

couldn't justify the price

This was a good sun block, don't get me wrong. It just wasn't anything special and definitely wasn't worth $40. I found it very similar to the Neutragena one.
It wasn't really greasy but I could definitely feel it on my skin and it took a long time to sink in, so you did feel kinda greasy for a little while.
I wouldn't recommend this, it was a good product but not worth the price.
