Quick Take: musky, woody, no floral notes
I am absolutely in love with this fragrance, but I feel like I have to douse myself in it for it to last. It definitely does not stick to my skin throughout the whole of the day.

This is a great scent, but a bit strong, so it might take a few wearings to determine how much works for your guy. The silver lining is that these products are cruelty free AND Made in the USA!

This is not your run of the mill cologne. It's totally different than anything on the market right now which is why I bought it for my husband. It doesn't enter the room before he does! Love it because it's subtle and seductive. It smells like a leather jacket, the kind you want to snuggle up against. Fits his low key, rugged style. I would definitely take the person's personality into consideration when choosing this scent.

I got this for my husband after receiving a sample with my last order. This fragrance is so intoxicating, it can renew the original "attraction" one had. A little goes a long way or it can be strong but otherwise it is a wonderful addition to an already amazing John Varvatos collection.

Quick Take: good value
I love this cologne. It's not for everybody. If you like light and airy, this ain't for you. If you want something that everybody on the elevator can smell, you're the wrong guy for this. But, if you have some confidence, wear just enough fragrance that a woman can get a hint of it just before you kiss her, and like a rich, mild scent, well then I think you'll like this.

Quick Take: perfect, sophisticated, modern
There are lots of great reviews on this cologne, but I wanted to try it before I bought it. I went to a local department store and tried it out. The girl at the counter loved how it smelled on me and so did I.
John Varvatos by John Varvatos almost smells like the combination of JV Artisan and JV Artisan Black. It starts off smelling like an orange spiced tea or cider. This fades within 30 minutes and becomes a rich aroma of spicy wood and leather. The scent fades to a faint woodsy leather that only those right against you can smell after about 6-8 hours.
Although this is not a "sport" or "summer" scent per se, it has done well even daytime southern heat. It is perfect for any occasion and is now my "go to" cologne.

Quick Take: travel-friendly
i bought this on a whim and wish i had not. the cologne smells great from the bottle but for some reason it does not work on me. the scent also does not last as long as i would expect from a cologne of this price.

Mmm... That black leather scent that I can't get enough of! Screw buying this for a boyfriend; I got it for MYSELF. I've received a number of compliments on it, and find it suits me better than many overly fussy women's perfumes.

I bought this fragrance for my boyfriend (mid twenties) for Valentines Day, and this scent is quite masculine, but not overpowering. He enjoys using this scent, a switch from his favorite Paco Robanne 1 million scent. This scent is suitable for any occasions, any age, and I think it's a safe fragrance for gifts.

This smells sooo good! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend and could just not wait that long to smell it on him!

I want to do everything imaginable to my boyfriend when he wears this. I just want to curl into him, fuse, and become one with him so I can smell that delicious scent wherever I go.
Seriously, it's that good. Guys (girlfriends of guys too), get out and make the best purchase of your life to date. Remember, a little goes a long way.

This is a very man cologne. I read in a magazine somewhere that this is what Bradley Cooper wears. I bought it for my boyfriend, and I love how it smells on him. Its very masculine and woodsy.
