Just What I Needed!

I have fair skin and got Agent 00. It is the perfect shade for me, and I have never found a shade of tinted moisturizer that works for my fair skin. It evens out my skin tone and doesn't cause breakouts on my acne-prone skin because it's oil-free! I love that it has SPF 20! I have worn mineral makeup for years and have always used two to three layers to cover the redness in my skin. Getting the ideal coverage left my skin looking too powdery. With the Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer I only need one light dusting of mineral makeup to get my ideal redness coverage. It also sets the moisturizer and makes it last all day. Now my skin looks like natural skin, and not all powdery! Some people don't like the micro sparkles in the formula, but I do. They create a natural dewy look--not shiny--and brighten up my skin. Some people think the coverage is too light, but it's not meant to have heavy coverage: This is NOT foundation, it's tinted moisturizer! Also, I have combination skin and still use a regular moisturizer first on my dry skin days. Go into the store with no makeup on your face and try it for yourself!

This oxidizes a lot! Most American BB creams do, but this seemed more extreme than usual. It looks great when I apply it, but quickly becomes dark, making my skin look dirty. Going one shade lighter didn't work.
I'm also not super happy with the formula. It's very dewy and shimmery and it's gone by the end of the day.

I got a sample of this bb cream/tinted moisturizer and the infamous Laura Mercier (oil-free) T.M., and to my own surprise, I prefer Tarte's. I have also tried NARS' T.M but it was too orange for my skin.
- the color range is great since I am fair-skinned. I bought this in the color Light-Medium and it matches my skin color perfectly
- the consistency is balanced, I'm assuming its because of the clay content? it's not runny nor thick.
- blends effortlessly with or without a brush or sponge.
- I apply 1 full layer focusing on the centre of my face and only applying excess on the sides of my face. and since i have some redness in the centre of my face i apply a few dots on those areas on top.
- I still do use concealer to cover blemishes and under my eyes, which is normal for me. Not surprised that this didn't cover everything.
- if i don't use my sephora perfecting primer before this TM, i get extremely oily by the afternoon. If you're oily like me, i highly recommend using a primer if you aren't already.

This is so good for dry skin! I have drier skin in the morning, so it can be hard for me to find a product to put on first thing in the day. BUT THIS...this is awesome stuff. Doesn't accentuate ANY dryness on my face. Nice and moisturizing and gives a nice light-coverage, fresh look.

I've only been using it for three days and I'm already a huge fan. I'm not saying my skin doesn't still get a sheen throughout the day - that's unavoidable with oily skin - however, what impressed me most about this product was the flawless finish it gives!!! It's honestly amazing the way it doesn't accentuate my pores or dry patches. It looks like I'm not wearing makeup and I've NEVER encountered that before. It's also extreeeeemely long wearing. I've previously used products such as Revlon Colorstay, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser and most recently Jouer Matte Moisture Tint. All these products had pros and cons but NONE looked as natural on my skin as Tarte's product did.

A Sephora consultant recommended this product to me and I wasn't sure if the tinted moisturizer would give enough coverage, but it works great. I also noticed that it cleared up a lot of my acne/dryness and leaves a beautiful dewy finish. I use this everyday with a translucent finishing powder because the coverage it that good!

I have been shy to go more natural as the performance seems to suffer. I use Make Up Forever HD on workdays but wanted something healthier and with more protection for days off. I have redness that this evens out and a difficult to match skin tone that this matches wonderfully. I use the Tarte Maracuja concealer on my nose for more coverage. My husband says it feels 'sticky' but I like that I don't need to wear my moisturizer under it to keep from getting dry. I also like that it does not smell like sunblock.
I'm so happy I may start wearing this on workdays.

This is the first BB cream/ tinted moisturizer that I like. Everything I've tried so far has been so dark for my skin, but with this I found a perfect shade for my fair skin. It goes on so smoothly and looks so natural. This has to be one of my best foundation purchases ever! Highly recommended.

This is the best tinted moisturizer I have used to date! It lasts throughout the day and doesn't clump up on your face. You can barely tell its there while still giving that minimal coverage look you want from a t.m.! It has a distinct look to it when you put it on that makes my skin look great and glowing. I recommend it for anyone looking to have enough coverage do smooth out your skin and cover up the red or blotchy marks on your face. Its the only tinted moisturizer I will ever buy again!

I never used to use liquid foundations, I have always had oily skin. For the past 8 years I have been using Bare Minerals but when I started reading about these BB creams I thought I'd try it. I'm 41 and have combination skin, but I do like how it makes my skin look dewy and that it doesn't look caked on. I tried a couple of other BB creams (Miracle Skin Transformer and Tarte BB tinted treatment 12-hour primer) but wasn't happy with how they made my skin look.

I like the healthy glow it gives me but it's also super greasy especially with my combination skin. my t-zone looked like it was dipped in oil. it didn't break me out....but i had to return it.

Awesome BB Cream

I've been using Smashbox Camera-Ready BB Cream and although its a great product it tends to be thicker than I like for everyday use. I purchased the Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer on a recommendation and I love it. Its light and blends in quickly giving me even skin-tone and looks natural. I live in Hawaii and unless you are in AC all day you don't want heavy makeup because you sweat frequently. I have combination skin so I sometimes need another moisturizer for drier areas but I never get oily--just a nice glow. This isn't a product for those looking for more coverage. Smashbox Camera-Ready BB cream provides great coverage and has a higher SPF. Both BB Creams are great for olive-based skin tones.

This is everything I was looking for! I have insanely dry skin, and I was getting tired of layering moisturizer, sunblock and foundation, only to have my skin look as dry as bran flakes by the end of the day. This took care of it, plus it saves all that time. The lightest shade matches my very fair skin perfectly. I've gotten many compliments on what great skin I have.

I love this tinted moisturizer. I tried it because the store was out of my other brand and I'm so glad I did. I have dry skin and this goes on smoothly and has a dewy finish, but not shiny or greasy. It blends beautifully and is very concentrated so you don't have to use much.
