Well, it prevents wetness and odor but I still havent seen the discoloration change. For the almost 30 dollars I paid for ... I expected at least some change in a month.

Quick Take: so far so good
i've been using this since dec 1, 2009. i've had really dark underarms since i started shaving as a teenager. while i haven't seen any improvement on the brightening side, my skin has improved dramatically! very soft and smooth. i also don't have to shave often at all. maybe every 2-3 weeks when i used to shave every other day. bottle says to wait 6-12 months for brightening effect. will be patient and keep everyone posted. i'm actually surprised to see that so many women have the same problem. whew!

I thought red bumps and darkness on underarms were problems that happened to everybody, and for a long time, it never occured to me that my products may be injuring my skin. After trying everything I could find, including that "rock" thing that made my armpits look like they were covered with bumpy red leather, I allowed myself to spend $28.00 on a deodorant...and, I was reminded that most of the time, you get what you pay for. This deodorant is a gentle liquid-cream that has absolutely no fragrance. My underarms seemed to lighten after two uses, initially because the cysts disappeared and the redness and irritation were soothed. While this is definitly helpful for my skin, it is also a suberb antiperspirant. There is absolutely no stinging, tingling, or roughness, It's like putting Cetaphil on your pits. I apply a thin layer after my shower, give it about 1 or two minutes to dry, (depending upon weather, humidity, my skin's dryness, etc.), get dressed, and I don't even think about my armpits until the next day, when it's time to apply Total Nonscents. There really is NO fragrance in this product, either in the bottle, or on my skin. One bottle lasts one to one-and-a-half months longer than my former one-a-month deodorant purchases. I am so, so pleased with how my underarms look and feel (what an odd thing to write about...), but, best of all, I don't have to schlep a container of deodorant everywhere I go (the one thing that always managed to fall out of my bag) or stand in a line at a drugstore holding a bottle of Certain Dri, (which is almost as fun as just asking everyone around you to have a sniff in your general direction...) If you have underarm issues, this is well worth a try.

Great product- 03.04.10
This product does exactly what it says!! I've been using the gentle brightening as I started out my underarms wear dark from shaving and using antiperspirant. I've been using this for about 6 months and yes i'm still using the same bottle! It's a little expensive but well worth it. I see a big improvement in the discoloration! The only problem is the fact that it's only available as roll-on!

Great Preperation for Summer- 03.02.10
This is the second time I have purchased this product and found that it works really well. You have to be patient but it does provide gradual lightening I was concerned that the anti-perspirant part of it would not work, but I work out 3x a week and it hasn't failed yet. It is a little messy initially if your not used to using roll ons but with a few applications and thorough shaking it gets better. I live in OH with really bad winters so now is a good time to use it to prepare for the summer sleeveless months.

It's been a couple of weeks-no difference in the color of my underarms. I still perspire but not as much and my clothes are not visibly sweaty. I can smell my sweat but I don't think that other people can. This deodorant takes around 5 minutes or more to dry; leaves no white marks on my clothes but the skin under my arms has white dried deodorant on it. It's very expensive for a deodorant but it's almost twice as big as the avg. deodorant. If my underarms don't lighten significantly after this bottle; I'm continuing my search for a permanent deodorant.

Haven't had too long....- 02.25.10
Well so far I am happy, but it has only been two weeks now that I have used this. My armpits do look a little lighter so far and I will update my review once I have used it longer. As for odor protection, its does a pretty good job.

Quick Take: amazing
I tried this once a long time ago then stopped using it 'cause I thought it didn't keep me dry enough.
So several months passed by and I needed a new deodorant. I found this and gave it another try. Well, well, well. It worked miraculously. This is even better than my old anti-perspirant. It kept me dry and odorless! And it didn't give me a rash like ordinary deodorants would! As for the brightening part, I can't really say it whitened my armpits since I had just started.

My Thoughts on Total Nonscents- 02.18.10
I have a discoloration under my underarms and wanted to try something that will help even the color out. I tried other skin bleaching application but it didn't work at all. When I went into Sephora and mentioned my concerned the lady there showed me the Total Nonscents product and said it worked for her but you have to be patient. She said that it doesn't stain your clothes and it doesn't have a scent to it at all. I've been using it for now a month, I haven't seen any dramatic changes to the coloration but I love that it doesn't have a scent to it at all and that it doesn't stain your clothes. The instructions says that you should notice the color change in about three months so I am still waiting. But as for now I am satisfied with the nonscent and nonstaining.

Really works- 01.06.10
I've used this product before and it definitely works but does take a few months to see good results which means you may go through a few bottles of it depending on how often you use it. Unfortunately, the only downside is it does not provide as much anti-perspirant as I'd prefer for the gym and working out.

I started using this over a year ago, because I noticed even though I shaved on practically a daily basis, my underarms looked discolored. I found this through a recommendation. Points of note: it says it takes 6-12 months for full results. For me, 6 months was the turning point where I saw dramatic results. The product is somewhat pricey ($28!) for deodorant, but if you still with it, it works, and it lasts a good 6 months a bottle. The catch is don't stop using it, because when you do go back to your old deodorant, you underarms will darken again. I say this from experience!
