I got this as a sample for my husband. Before he was done with the sample, he asked me to buy it for him. I should note that before this he used soap and water. now, every time he shaves, he comments on how clean and refreshed his face feels. He's even told some of his friends about it. If you knew my husband, that never happens!

Read a review that women used it and decided to give it a shot.
I grow hair like no one's business. Most of the time I shave and sometimes by the end of the day I have stubble. Bought this gel, no end of the day stubble. Even with a dull razor I got the closest shave I've ever had.
Four days post I look like what I used to look like on day 1.5. Smells great and goes on great too.
The advantage of a gel is I use less and it goes on in a thick layer that does not come off easily. After using this I had no bumps and fewer ingrown hairs.
And that gel doesn't get clogged up in the razor, which means I am now buying less blades. So this product is actually SAVING ME MONEY!
Could not be happier with this purchase, seriously, just buy it. Best purchase I've made all year and as a product addict that is saying a lot.

Sorry to put a bummer on everyone's raves. I did not find this to be a great product. It might be my preference to creams, but the Anthony shave cream is infinitely better than the gel. I found that the gel was not altogether that soothing but it did do a decent job at lubricating. I am going to hand it to my wife and see if it works for her legs (as per some suggestions here).

My boyfriend came to rescue me from a dead car battery so I treated him to this shave gel. He used to use another drug-store sensitive shave but it had been discontinued. He RAVED about this stuff, saying that his skin has never felt better and has almost no razor burn, whereas with other shave gels he would still have razor burn a day later. I'm glad I could get him something that he likes so much! Plus it keeps his 5 o'clock shadow away for longer. He said it doesn't foam but stays gel-like, which was a surprise but not necessarily a bad one.

I saw on a blog that women can use this on their legs and armpits for a nice, smooth shave. I tried it, and 3 days later, my legs were still smooth! Didn't work as well on the armpits, but it still provided a close shave.
