It's Nice Set...
-04.24.13
For traveling and on the go but I personally didn't like this set. The quality is all there but when it comes to brushes, there's a reason why you should spend more: the finish.
These brushes are great for simple application but they don't give you that airbrush - soft finish that I like. No matter how I try to apply my makeup, it just came out looking like I was wearin make up (which is the look I am absolutely not going for).
The brushes distributed too much powder and it did so evenly but the thicker coverage isn't what I liked it.
If you want something that helps with heavier application, get this set and you'll be golden. But if you want a softer look, invest in a couple sephora pro brushes with the goat hairs since they're softer and don't pick up a ton of powder at once.

Very good brushes. I don't wear foundation or blush so I can't say anything about those, but the shadow and lip brushes are very good. It also fits my eyeliner brush, eyebrow brush, and another shadow brush between the built in holders with no problem, so it is a versatile case. Fits in my purse easily.

I purchased this along with 2 other sets (antibacterial and two toned portfolio?) and this one was the keeper. I love that the brushes are compact, they fit perfectly in my make up bag. my only complaints are that they do shed, and the lip brush is useless. i substituted this brush for a medium sephora brand eye brush that i have, giving me 3 eye brushes in the kit. the lip brush works ok as a liner brush.
if you are looking for a basic set thats not too expensive, then this is a great bargain.

These brushes are alright. They do shed just so you realize, especially the big powder blush, I can hardly go a day without it flaking a couple brush hairs on me. Other than that though, its a great set! Convenient little carrying case too.

Sephora Steal

Quick Take: good value, travel size, good precision
I most pleased about the price of this kit. Normally, a Sephora Blush Brush is around 40 dollars. I was going to buy one, then realied that this kit was only 11 dollars more! The angled blush brush is absolutely fatnastic for contouring the cheek bone or just liberally applying blush. However, be careful with this brush not too add too much blush too it because it really goes on there. I have also used the eyeshadow brushes and I love them both, especially the smaller one for inside the eye creases. The only issue I have with the bigger eyeshadow brush is that it feels a bit rough. I have yet to use the big powder brush or the lipstick (hah) but i'm sure they're both great too. And hey, if tehy're not, you really only paid for about 1 brush in this awesome 5 piece set.

Convenient, Good Quality brushes.

Quick Take: travel size
I got a gift card to Sephora for Christmas. I desperately needed some new brushes so I was looking through the sets of brushes they carried and I was drawn to this set right away. (It was also on sale--Bonus!!) The first time I used them I was impressed. They are dense but still soft, haven't shed much, and the little carrying case is very convenient. I can just throw this in my purse after getting ready in the morning and go. Overall this is a great brush set and I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Although the size is perfect but the quality is not and this because of that the brushes are too soft so when use them they won't give the desired richness of color from the first application.

Good quality

Good quality. Has all the basic brushes I require. Easy to clean as well and dried quickly. I've bought brushes from other brands and it seemed to take forever (more than a day) for my brushes to air dry.

Great brush set!
-01.05.13
Quick Take: full set, good value, travel size, excellent starter set for beginners
This brush set is excellent for people like me who are trying to get more into makeup application. I use mineral makeup and I find that the largest powder brush is a little bit too puffy for the foundation application. It works wonderfully for the light finishing powder. My favorite brush is the large eyeshadow brush- great, even distribution of color!

It's great for beginners if you want brushes but don't want to shell out big bucks for the professional sets. New to make up? This one is for you!

Travel friendly, but brushes shed.
-01.04.13
I bought this to carry in my travel makeup bag. I mainly use the powder and blush brushes, to apply bronzer and blush. Unfortunately, these brushes shed a little, which is fine if you don't use them daily. The case is cute, and wipes clean. I recommend this brush set for traveling.
Also, I wish this set had a blending brush and an eye shader brush instead of two eye shader brushes.
Overall, you get what you pay for and I wasn't disappointed.

Close to perfection
-12.20.12
i bought sephora's slim essential brush set as part a of a 2-part holiday gift. although these labelled brushes are close to perfection, the missing component, imo, was an eyebrow brush, which i purchased separately. the recipient was delighted.

Great set of basic brushes. Soft and retain shape well. My only dislike is having hairs left on my face from the powder brush.. Although maybe this can't be avoided with makeup brushes..

I got this set for my daughter whose brushes are old and rather sad looking. She'll be thrilled with this 'stocking stuffer.' Just right for a variety of beauty products.

Not bad...
-11.27.12
I liked the price for the set. There's nothing particularly special about the brushes, they do their job. I do like the shape of the blush brush. My one complaint is the amount of hair they shed. I'm hoping it will improve as I use them more.
