Ojon Dry Recovery™ Hydrating Conditioner

What it is:A deeply nourishing treatment for dry hair. What it does:This rich, rapid daily moisture-proofing system instantly quenches parched strands and surrounds them in an invisible aura of protection. Formulated with Ojon oil, nature's golden elixir, plus Blue Agave, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, and Babassu Oil, this cream smoothes down the hair's cuticle, making dull hair brilliantly shiny. Never greasy or heavy, it smoothes static and tames flyaways too. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes- Phthalates- Triclosan What else you need to know:In healthy hydrated hair, the scales of the cuticle lie flat like the shingles on a roof. But when these scales become damaged, they lift and separate and no longer play their protective role. Water evaporates, cuticles become more brittle, and hair becomes drier. This simple daily ritual breaks this vicious cycle. Research results:Used in combination, Dry Recovery(TM) Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner improved the condition of dry, damaged hair by 52%.* 82% said their hair felt smoother.** 84% agreed their hair was soft.** 78% claimed their hair felt nourished.***In a clinical, dry combing study, using Dry Recovery Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner**In a consumer study, panelists used Dry Recovery Hydrating Shampoo

Oh my gosh
-01.21.13
Quick Take: water, damaging, foul smelling
This product was too liquidy. It dried my hair out. It made my hair fall out more than normal. It smelled weird. It did nothing for my curly, dry hair.

First ingredient is water
-12.19.12
Quick Take: poor quality, mostly water, weak scent, not worth the money
This product is a disappointment. First ingredient is water. I would expect that of a grocery store shampoo and conditioner. The lovey scent is weak. It feels like a cheap product. Going to return. Sticking with Bb.

my new holy grail
-11.07.12
Quick Take: strengthening, doesn't weigh hair down
this together with the shampoo just makes my hair so manageable and easy to work with.
this added shine and strength to my hair - i swear this was the reason my hair grew faster than it ever did.
i apply heat to my hair constantly but this was able to protect my hair and keep my hair growing.
be warned that the results are not instant! but be patient and it will be awesome :)

Descent Conditioner

I gave this conditioner a two star because I honestly didn't like it. It didn't do anything to my hair and it is too expensive. Also the smell was ok. Nothing to spend this amount over.

Used as a hair mask
-06.10.12
Quick Take: doesn't weigh hair down, rich
I usually use aveda hair products. I love their soft smelling natural products. I received an ojon sample from sephora with a previous order. I was skeptical, since i havent used anything other than aveda on my hair for awhile. It was really thick and creamy. I applied it to my damp hair and left it on for 10- 15 minutes. After rinsing, my hair was so super soft. Omg! So soft! The smell was a little to strong for me, but it was a nice smell. Even after my shower the next day, my hair is still really soft. I never used ojon products before. I am going to look at the kits they sell and add to my shopping list for future purchase.

I was skeptical
-06.04.12
I was too used to lathering on condition until it coated my hair and felt plasticy/slick. The consistency of this one scared me at first b/c I didn't feel like it would really condition, and I have very dry ends. But once you're done rinsing it out and start drying your hair, you can feel the difference. It hydrates very well and detangles!

Bring back the old formulas
-03.22.12
I'd been using Ojon for about a year and loved it. After they changed the formula its awful. First, I used the formula for color treated hair and it left my hair dry. Then I tried the moisturizing formula. Just as bad. I have highlighted hair and it kept getting drier and drier. I'm extremely disappointed.

I am still undecided on this product, as there are times my hair has still felt dry like straw. But I will keep trying it and see. I do alternate with other products as we..

Noooooooo!!!!
-03.06.12
Quick Take: not the same
Why Ojon why???? The old stuff was sooooo much better!! This smells like lemon floor cleaner...and does not work 1/2 as well! I should have listened to the other "old timers" and stayed away.. I REALLY loved the old smell.. nutty and warm..and I could use a very little once a week and it worked... this new formula ... yuck :( Ojon...bring back the good stuff!!! 1st time ever...I will be sending something back.

-01.16.12
Quick Take: natural
I use it once a week and it makes my hair healthy, shiny and repaired. It gives body and shone..it holds a curl well. It does weigh hair down but in a good way..After using it my hair just looks healthy and full but smooth.

Worth it / All in
-12.07.11
Quick Take: creamy, doesn't weigh hair down
Well I'm one of those people who always buys shampoo and matching conditioner. These things should just come in pairs. =)
You can read my review of the shampoo for the full version.
Basically, less hair falls out when I wash it after a months use 2-3 times per week. Also, I have less frizz though I still have to use my straight iron to get it really smooth. Next time I'll go with the damage line because this still leaves my hair feeling a bit dry near the ends, but I'm betting most of that is from putting it up in clips and hats every day.
And I like the smell, same as the shampoo.. very natural and earthy/planty smelling, and not strong at all.

Very good hair conditioner
-11.30.11
Quick Take: natural, creamy
I believe my review is referring to the previous formula of this conditioner... it feels very rich and smells like nuts (or something very soothing). I have thin hair, so after using it a bit, it feels heavy and weighs my hair down a bit too much.

They've ruined it
-11.25.11
Quick Take: not rich enough anymore, was better before the reformulation
This conditioner used to be so rich, creamy, give the right amount of "slip" to the hair; now it does none of those things. I also really miss the smell of the smoky-cigar kind of smell Ojon products used to have. PLEASE change it back, Ojon.

I love this conditioner. I had super dry, damaged hair and this just just transformed my hair, making it very soft and shiny. I have never been told I have soft, healthy looking hair til I got this conditioner. I think its absolutely worth the price.
