Ojon Dry Recovery™ Hydrating Shampoo

What it is:A moisturizing shampoo formulated for dehydrated hair. What it does: Instead of stripping away natural oils like strong action shampoos can do, this gentle coconut-derived cleanser actually preserves them. Ojon oil, nature's golden elixir, helps repair damage in the shower while our Blue Agave Nectar, Macadamia Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Babassu Oil complex helps restore moisture and smooth roughed-up cuticles to keep hydration sealed in. Straw-like strands become soft and smooth as silk. What it is formulated WITHOUT:- Parabens- Synthetic Fragrances- Synthetic Dyes- Phthalates- TriclosanWhat else you need to know:In healthy hydrated hair, the scales of the cuticle lie flat like the shingles on a roof. But when these scales become damaged, they lift and separate and no longer play their protective role. Water evaporates, cuticles become more brittle, more moisture is lost, and hair becomes drier. This simple daily ritual breaks this vicious cycle.Research results:Used in combination, Dry Recovery(TM) Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner improved the condition of dry, damaged hair by 52%.* 82% said their hair felt smoother.** 84% agreed their hair was soft.** 78% claimed their hair felt nourished***In a clinical, dry combing study, using Dry Recovery Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner**In a consumer study, panelists used Dry Recovery Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner

Very good!
-02.15.13
Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use, smoothing
I have used shampoo from many lines, ranging from 20 dollars to 40 dollars. I don't mind spending more for good ingredients that work. This shampoo and conditioner is lovely, and really has helped repair my thin, dry, straw-like hair. On a regular day when I'm just wearing my hair down and not styling it, I do not have to put in any extra product to reduce frizz or smooth my hair down, since this shampoo and conditioner does the trick. For those with thin hair, you really only need a little bit of each. I did overdo it one time and found that my hair was slightly weighed-down and hard to manage. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the hydrolyzed wheat protein that they add to this product. I am gluten/wheat sensitive, and I know ingredients from your shampoo and conditioner can be absorbed through your skin and scalp. I am turning a blind eye for now and hoping there aren't any adverse effects from using it.

I LOVE this!
-01.17.13
Quick Take: hydrating, smoothing, good for daily use
I like this and the conditioner. My hair has never been color treated. Only some damage due to flat ironing but this makes my hair soft and shiny. I got the samples and after one day of using it I already see a difference in my hair. I was using B&B shampoo but that left a lot of build up. This doesn't do that and it leaves my hair feeling moisturized and not greasy. If you're on the fence about it, buy and then just return it if you don't like it. I highly recommend this and the OJON Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum. They work wonderfully together.

I have fine, curly hair and am very picky about hair products. I resorted to this shampoo bc the boutique I buy my usual brand from was out. I love this shampoo and will definitely buy it again!

Horrible!!
-12.05.12
I bought this shampoo few weeks ago. I was hoping my purchase to be worth the money. But it was so horrible on my scalp. My husband and I used this daily basis in the morning. My scalp felt clean and fresh as soon as I washed my hair, but it quickly dried out (in 3-4 hours). My head got so itchy. My husband felt the same. I am now searching for a shampoo that can recover my "extremely dry" scalp.

Good shampoo...
-10.16.12
Quick Take: good for daily use
Good shampoo, but not worth the price. It's easy on the scalp which is nice since mine's always itchy, oily yet dry all the time. As for doing anything for dry hair - not really. Be warned, it has a horrible smell.

Soothing gentle and hydrating shampoo
-06.15.12
Quick Take: hydrating, good for daily use, gentle for sensitive scalps, doesn't cause build-up
I have psoriasis on my scalp so I have to be quite careful about the products I use on my hair. I started using this shampoo and the matching conditioner about 8 months ago and it has earned my unfailing brand loyalty (and I'm quite a fickle girl). Obviously I can't say it has cured my chronic skin condition, but it has definitely helped reduce the severity of my flare-ups because it's so gentle. It seems to be keeping my hair in great condition as well. It doesn't build up in my hair so I never feel like I need to do a deeper cleanse like I sometimes do when shampoos are so gentle or hydrating that they end up leaving a film on your hair. Bottom line, it gets my hair nice and clean, doesn't sting or dry out my sensitive scalp.

Bought Ojon Based on a Sample
-06.04.12
I got a yummy smelling Ojon shampoo sample and thought I'd give this brand a try. Unfortunately, the yummy smelling shampoo isn't what I picked out b/c I need hydrating S&C. It still smells nice and my hair doesn't feel weighed down.

This Shampoo REALLY Hydrates my hair and scalp
-05.25.12
I have very fine hair, and I mean on a scale 1 to 10 I am probably a 9. My experience has shown that even excellent brands don't do it for me. Very often my hair was unmanageable or too heavy. This shampoo feels light, cleans very well, and I do not need a lot of conditioner to follow. I also would like to mention, I dye my hair and I have a edgy haircut. It is great to have a good shampoo that shows the hair shiny and healthy when you spend a lot for a hair cut. Its fragrance is very subtle and feels natural to me. I can strongly recommend to try it for yourself.

Not Liking the New Formula
-03.22.12
I'd been using Ojon for about a year and loved it. After they changed the formula its awful. First, I used the formula for color treated hair and it left my hair dry. Then I tried the moisturizing formula. Just as bad. I have highlighted hair and it kept getting drier and drier. I'm extremely disappointed.

Not the same
-03.02.12
Quick Take: horrible
I have used Ojon since it's birth. Since they were bought out and the formulas have changed the products have gone down hill in my opinion. Have tired most of the ojon products before and since the bye out and I will not purchase ojon nor recommend this product again. NOT THE SAME
