Really good but very pricey

Quick Take: lightweight, absorbs quickly, intensive
I'm a devotee of Clarins products - skin and body care as well as makeup - but I'm beginning to find the price of this cream a bit over the top. It is a lovely moisturizer and, as I'm fanatical about sun protection, I really appreciate having a relatively high level of SPF included with my face cream but nowadays, especially with the advent of more and more BB creams with SPF, I am finding it harder and harder to justify paying over $100 CDN for a day cream. So while this is lovely, I think I will be moving on to less costly day creams (Sephora makes a beauty and while it doesn't have SPF, the BB creams or foundation I apply over it do or I can apply a separate facial SPF if I'm not wearing foundation).

I have mdidle-aged skin. I was looking for a moisturizer that made my skin looked ... well...moisturized. Not matted - more dewy. This isn't that product. Actually, for the money ($$$) it was very disappointing.

I am surprised to write that this product was a disappointment for me. I expected more from it with respect to how my skin felt and looked b/c of the price and the name but it fell short (again, for me).
I was / am looking for a product to help my skin have a dewy look (matted works against you when you're middle-aged).
I think it would be a good product if I were 20-25 yrs younger but today it's not.

I tried this for a couple of weeks because it came as a free gift with purchase. I used the version without the SPF20 in it. It was a rich cream, in a good way. I applied it to damp skin after bathing. It wasn't heavy and I could use a small amount to cover my face. The smell is light and pleasant. The texture nice. I quickly noticed a difference in my complexion. I looked more glowy and fresh and healthy. I'm considering buying a full jar, but the price is steep. It definitely worked some kind of wonder though.

I have to say that this cream was a bit too heavy for me. I love Clarins products, but of course not all items are appropriate for everyone in any line. I need a nourishing, hydrating cream but this was just too much. The scent was rather cloying as well. Perhaps it would work in winter, but I really don't think I would repurchase this one. I still use Clarins, but just a different formula. The new Vita Light Night Cream is a good one for me, as is the Day ream version for All Skin Types.

Quick Take: too expensive
I've used Clarins' fine products for over 30 years and to me they are the best. However, I was stunned to learn the new price of their Super Restorative Day Cream when I went to repurchase it. I of course understand the high cost of living these daze, but Clarin's recent price increases have priced me out of the market and that's too bad; wish it were otherwise. Aloha Clarins!

I love this product. I mainly use the Super Restorative line of Clarins,as I am 56, and spent a good many years in the sun,which caused some damage. The Restorative creams and serums have really helped me to reclaim a nice complexion. I really dislike when people leave poor ratings because the product was to oily for their skin. This product is for ageing skin. If you have oily skin, of course, you will have a break out. You do not need this treatment if you have oily skin.Clarins has great lines for every type of skin. Please don't slander this company's wonderful product because you used the wrong product. When you do this, you are giving out false information. Take the product back and find out why they sold you the wrong item for your skin.

I have used Clarins for years and I think it has does wonders for my skin. I will be 66 yrs old tomorrow and everyone tells me that I look years younger. Even doctors, nurses, co-workers, etc., always comment on how young I look. I think that Clarins is the reason.

Clarins day cream is nice in texture and applies smoothly, but it is a bit too heavy for my oily skin. I tried it for about a week and it started causing me to break out. I think it's probably better for those without super oily skin like mine.

I have been using this cream for the past 10 years and would not go without it for a single day unless it is very damp and hot outside.
It feels good, it smells good and I can use it around the eyes as well!
