Great for winter or dry climates

My skin is a dry/irritable with occasional oily flare-ups, and I travel around a lot between various climates, so I need different creams for different situations. This is my go-to product for winter when cold air and wind chaps my skin, or for after (sometimes during) a long flight.

Nice slight moisturizer but I really love that it wakes my face up in the morning. It 'tightens' my sleepy face and has a wonderful scent. Love it.

I use this in lieu of a primer underneath foundation. It is a very pricey item so I use it sparingly and only on special occasions. I do not use it for everyday due to the price point. The trick is to concentrate on the center spreading it throughout your face. Don't rub it in like a moisturizer. Web the product over your face. That's my best explanation. I noticed tightening, pores reduced, and fine lines were filled. The only thing I did not noticed was the lightening. I have light skin so if there was any lightening effect I wouldn't notice it.

I've only been using this product for three days, and I can firmly say that my skin has never felt smoother and softer. This has taken the place of my usual serum, and the difference it's brought is beyond mind-blowing. The dry, scaly spots on my face are now history; my skin is powdery smooth and super soft; it's even kept my break-outs at bay and made my current pimples less noticeable. I've also noticed a considerable difference in the visibility of the pores on my nose -- and all this in only a couple of days! It's efficient, easy to apply, effective, and has earned a permanent place in my vanity and my daily routine.

I bought this product for a friend who spends a lot of time playing sports outdoors and wanted something to revive and hydrate his skin after being in the sun. Decided to trust the rave reviews and bought this product.
Used as a skin mask, left the product on for 15 minutes and almost all of it was completely absorbed, giving the skin a fresh and smooth look. The pores were a lot less visible and there was a light reflective kind of glowy effect. The friend (a guy's guy) really liked it and uses it once a week. He liked the fragrance too.
I (female) used it once under makeup and loved how it made my skin look. Looked perfect. Might be a little thick for oily skin though.
Bottom line: This product does what it claims to do!

I decided to give this a try after seeing it in a magazine. I would just like to say this stuff is AMAZING! I use it as foundation primer. Even better after lack of sleep...def a "pick me up" for skin. Keeps my foundation in place all day. No greasiness or breakouts! And I have sensitive skin. Make sure to just pat into skin, don't rub. Works best this way. May be my new HG!

When I bought this I actually bought it as part of their try it kit. The little one ounce bottle in the kit lasted me SIX months! You only need a small amount and it goes a long way. It is not greasy and it has a very light almost undetectable scent. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but after using it for a while under my makeup I realized it truly made a difference in the staying power AND look of my makeup. I love this stuff!

I am thrilled with Beauty Flash Balm! I approach products in this category warily - they all seem to be more hype/less results. This one is the real deal. It provides a glow, an illumination. Foundation glides on smoothly, seems to stay-the-day better. It has a clean, refreshing scent. A little goes a long way when applying. This has become a must-have product for me!

When I first purchased this balm, I didn't know the correct way to use it. From watching Lisa Eldridge on YouTube, I learned that you should smooth, not rub, a pea size amount of product on skin and neck. Rubbing the product destroys the film that tightens the skin. I'm only 22 so I don't feel the tightening sensation much, but I can tell it makes my skin smoother and brighter. It gives you the look of a full night's sleep. I use it as a foundation primer but only when my skin is dull and dehydrated. This stuff is expensive so I want to ration as much as possible. I have very oily skin and this balm seems to control my oil well. Buy it! You won't regret it!

This is one of my favorite products from Clarins. I am not surprised that one is sold every twenty minutes. I use it as both a primer and a stand alone when I don't want to wear makeup. I apply it with my hands using long, downward strokes, and I have never had any problems. After application, my skin looks luminous and feels refreshed.

I bought the "feed 10 Clarins pouch". I always wanted to try Clarins and liked feeding 10 kids and also trying Clarins. I have great skin, and have my own cleansing and hydrating system that works very well. Yet, I fell in love with Clarins, from the SPF40, B flash balm, skin primer, eye cream and - LIP Gloss (Sephora needs to carry this). I just bought another feed 40 kit, an eye cream in pencil, and the peach shimmer lip gloss and received a bunch of other Clarins products prom a full size night time brightening cream, some type of serum, exfoliator, eye cream, SPF...too many to mention. I love the eye cream in the stick form and use everyday. Never thought I would "fall" for a beauty skin care line but well, I am pushing 50, us older gals look so much better with a tad of make up and more skin light reflecting beauty creams. I now love Clarins and am hooked. I will be buying the B flash balm, the lip balm, the eye cream in the tube, the SPF and probably more of the entire Clarins skin care line and MUCH less make up, as make up can be harsh on us older gals. For day time, I use the Clarins products, YSL Touche Eclate for concealer under eye etc, Coffee Grounds LM eye shadow (crease, eye liner brows), LM shadow Vanilla Nuts, clear mascara for brows and eye lashes, LM blush and LM lip stick or Clarins gloss. Thats it ! Evening is is the only time I use more make up. So - more facial skin care and less make up. Clarins is my first choice (I have tried so many; I like this product line)

I wear this flash balm underneath my tinted BB cream or tinted moisturizer as a moisturizer/primer and my skin has never looked or behaved so well in my life. I have fought acne and early signs of aging and this is the one product that I can rely on to help me look and feel great everyday. I am a true addict!

This is one of those products you see on "it" lists and read about on beauty blogs, but when you go look at the ingredients, you cannot imagine what in this potion can lift, firm or refresh. But lo and behold, that's exactly what it does. I gently pressed this into my skin over my serum and moisturizer, and went about fixing my hair. By the time I looked into the mirror to apply my tinted moisturizer, I realized my face looked a bit brighter, tighter, and more alive. I needed less makeup on top of this...it made a fantastic primer. I'll be 50 this year and despite taking good care of my skin, changes are inevitable. Now I see why people praise Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. This little multi-tasking treasure will be a staple for me from now on!

I like to layer this under my Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. I prefer to apply it more by patting/pressing. It makes my skin look bright and soft and healthy. Smells just slightly powdery, but that disappears almost instantly on your face. Got a hangover? Just a pea-sized amount of this and a little BB cream and you look like Kate Middleton after a 10 hour nap.

Works so well on it's own. Haven't tried it under makeup. Been using it for almost a week now. Smooths, hydrates and brightens complexion and makes my skin appear years younger. I am a 45 year old single working mom with very little time. I've neglected my skin for about a year and decided to start a good skin care regimen for the new year. I've been washing my face twice daily, moisturizing both morning and nightly and using Clarins Flash Balm after my anti-wrinkle cream. I decided to buy this according to reviews. I apply it by smearing then patting on. No need for foundation. My deep wrinkles are minimized instantly and fine lines disappear. Noticing improvement in overall skin appearance even after washing my face. Wonderful results... Will definitely re-buy. Thank you all for taking the time to write reviews!

I use this as a makeup primer, with excellent results. I've found it's particularly effective with liquid makeup, but works decently with powder foundation as well. I apply after my sunblock, and then apply my foundation immediately after. It prolongs the wear of my foundation, and keeps it fresh for quite a while. This also works well on its own, to help keep the complexion matte. With or without makeup, it brightens and tightens skin, making it look radiant. I've not used it as a masque, so I don't know how it works in that respect, but for my purposes, it is an excellent primer.
