Hydrated face and no breakouts

Nothing feels better than putting this on after a shower. My face feels so soft afterwards and doesn't break out. It's kind I thick like the Shea butter hand cream, but not greasy (neither is the hand cream)

Quick Take: fantastic
I am fair complexion and due to a prescription cream (Tazorac) I have to use at night to treat my acne, my skin is flaky. Using this cream helps tremendously! It is not greasy and because of its thick consistency: a little goes a long way. By the way< I am 53 but have been told my skin looks at least 10 years younger. My mother always stressed taking care of my skin. L'Occitane Ulta Rich Face Cream would definitely meet her approval!

Rich and creamy, perfect for dry skin

This cream is indeed "ultra" rich and and super creamy. I got a big sample sized product and decided it would probably be better for my mom who has drier skin. Upon visiting her this weekend, I tried it out as she claimed it to be "so good" compare to many other creams. It's true, my face felt wonderful and so moisturized after 1 application. Yet, it did not feel heavy or sticky.
It seems like after all, natural ingredients such as shea butter is the best for the skin. So please leave the artificial stuff and get more products like this one which uses natural ingredients.
A tip on application, like other thicker creams, this one works well if you emulsify it first by rubbing it between your palms to "liquefy" it. It won't be actually liquid but it will be a less lumpy. This emulsification step will help your skin to absorb it (think which is more likely to seep through, liquid or solid? solid will just sit on top of your skin, which will create a sticky feeling to it, for those of you that claim this to be sticky).
Lastly, this has a lovely scent which does not last long. I find it similar to L'Occitane's shea butter hand cream but I could be wrong. Regardless, it's a soft scent that won't linger too long even if you don't like it. So far I have not tried a single thing that I did not like from L'Occitane. I might get the full size for my mom's birthday.

I have tried almost everything. I have severely dry skin, especially around my mouth and my cheeks. This is the only product i have tried that kept my skin flake free and moisturized all day and night. i wish it came with a SPF.

The description is correct-- this really is for dry skin, so if you have normal or oily skin, this product is probably not for you. Although the cream feels a little bit sticky on your hands (due to the high concentration of shea butter) it feels so smooth and wonderful on your face. I hate creams that have a sticky or tacky feeling on the face, but this really doesn't. If you have skin that's irritated by retinols or harsh weather, this cream is really soothing. Love it. I do think it might be too heavy for summer, but we'll see.

This cream is fabulous. I wear this over the Fabulous Serum and makes my face feel totally hydrated. Not greasy or oily. A little goes a long way. Highly recommend if you have dry to very dry skin.

I live in the interior of Alaska. It is a very dry extreme climate especially during the winter months. It has been averaging -20 F to -40 F since Thanksgiving. Without this product my skin isflaky and rashy. This is the best product for Alaskan women!

I cannot say enough about this product. I have severely dry skin. I even had patches of moderate eczema on my face. Believe it or not, this product actually worked better than the medication that my doctor prescribed. After using this product daily, I now have completely normal skin.
It has a light scent and a thick texture. For those who are not used to wearing moisturizer, it may seem a bit thick. However, it absorbs quickly and lasts all day, so no reapplying is necessary. I apply my make up after putting this on and have found that it makes my foundation look smoother.
I can't say enough about this product. I will use it for life!

I have wanted this stuff for awhile. I was on accutane when an employee pointed it out to me saying that his friend used it when he was on accutane and loved it. It is quiet expensive so I decided to get a sample of it to try. I appositely loved it so I waited until Christmas for a gift card and went and got it. It doesn't leave that sticky product feel on your face like some do. I also have gotten it in my eye accidently and it doesn't sting like some moisturizers do.

IMO an ok cream but I found it not as hydrating as claimed, thus expected. Especially not right now during the colder season and dryer environment inside due to increased heating. I was also not thrilled with the scent. Might work for some, unfortunately not for me. There are way better hydrating products out there.

I love it, but I wish it were even more moisturizing. I really like to super moisturize my skin. This does an okay/good job of that, but I would like something even more hydrating. Other than that, I LOVE it.
