perfect lip stain

Quick Take: long lasting perfect amount of color
Sheer Magic was just the perfect color. The applicator works very well, and, as I am very fair skinned, the oclor was not too dark or over powering. Yet, very long lasting.
I have tried several (urban decay - too dark, Tarte - my favorite until now, stila - too light, can't find the right color) and this one is the best so far.
Also, this one has little or no taste to it - which I prefer.

great tint

i dislike lipstick smearing all over, and then drying out my lips, so i found the tint does a much better job and giving a natural rosy lip-look and i can always put gloss over it for some shine. much more convenient than any lipstick i have ever owned. also, it is relatively easy to apply, but you need to be careful not to overdo it. the roller is generous. i had the "wash" color and it is very dark, if you use it "full strength".

I purchased this product after a friend told me about it. I LOVE IT!! It is a bit tricky learning to apply so one does not wind up looking like a clown, but after you master it...beautiful color that lasts all day! ( TIP: apply after moisturizer to help blend!)

Sheer Luck

This is the best lipstain I have found. The color is deep, very Twilightish, and lasts! Usually with stains the middle part of the lip fades away, but that didn't happen with this one.
The Sheer Bronze and the raspberry stain didn't look as nice with my complexion. The bronze actually looked water-muddy-brown and was not appealing at all.

though i bought it as a stain for my lips i find myself using it more as a cheek stain. it takes a lot of product to stay on the lip but tends to flake off. on the bright side its the most definitive plum colour i've found at the toronto location.
personally i had better luck apply lipstick then wiping it off to achieve the same look

love this product and the compact size. just a note that a little goes a very long way. the function of the roll-on could be better. it dispenses far too much product so you can't actually use it for it's intended purpose, because of this it also has the tendency to be a bit messy. still well worth it for the great natural color that lasts all day.

Beautiful but difficult

I got the color Sheer Emotion. The color was beautiful and looked great on my lips. It lasted for hours. However, the application is nearly impossible. It dries to fast to blend properly so you have to just keep putting more and more on until you get an even color. It also soaks into every cut and crack on your lips and makes you look like an old hag. I will not buy this again.

A GOOD TINT... SHEER EMOTION

Quick Take: okay, a little bit difficult to use
I've been using Benefit's Benetint and Posietint, but thought I'd give this a chance, since sometimes, if I'm not fast enough with the Benetint and Posietint, they start drying. I'm left with weird shaped tinted circles on my face that occasionally even require that I start all over again. (I draw the outline of a circle with either product, and then add Moonbeam, the Benetint highlighter, to the top of the circle, as taught to me by my Sephora consultant, a long time ago). I thought it might be a little easier to use LORAC's roll-on instead of the brush that comes inside the Benefit containers, which is like a nail polish brush. I found that for me it doesn't really matter which product I use as far as drying speed. It seems to be an issue of being fast enough to rub it in, before it dries and leaves rings of tint on my cheeks. (I don't use any of them on my lips).
That said, I tried this in Sheer Emotion, which is a pinky-raspberry color. The color is ideal with my pale skin, provided I don't apply too much, which is where it gets a little tricky. I'm still drawing the outlines of the circles, as I did with the Benetint, but with the Benetint, I didn't have to outline the entire circle - I just did parts of the outline. It's more difficult to do with the LORAC. Also, I seem to have a little more control over the depth of the color with the Benetint. Bottom line is that I still like Benefit's tints better and will continue to use Benetint. (Tarte's Cheek Stain is another product I've used and really like, but it's a dfferent kind of look). I'm going to give this to a woman who doesn't have much makeup or money. Maybe she'll enjoy it.
(PS Share at least one bit of humor each and everyday. If we all did this, everyone would be a lot happier).

nice stain

The Lorac stain is very nice. I do have sensitive skin however, so on some days say like my lips are chapped, it can sting my lips. the stain stays quite well, but if I eat, it needs to be retouched.

Pretty good for a natural look

Overall, good stuff. If you apply it right (not too much, not too little, and in a shape that looks plausible), you will look naturally flushed and beautiful. My main challenge is in applying this correctly. Looks great on the lips, but the stain doesn't last as long as I'd like.

Long Lasting?

Depending on how much liquid you drink in a day YMMV, but I'm not entirely impressed with the "long-lasting" claim. I am still sold on Vincent Longo's stain, which Sephora no longer carries. I'm faithful to Sephora so wanted to try an alternative once my VL supply was gone. Still looking for something comparable, but will keep this until it runs out.

On the plus side you can build the colour with this product. Colour does last but definitely not all day.
On the negative side- the roller ball can deposit an uneven coat of the product.
Personally I would not purchase this product again.

Not good on lips, o.k. on cheeks

Quick Take: drying
Despite the fact that I exfoliate my lips, this product still adheres unevenly, resulting in very uneven color. It also dries out my lips more than other stains; Stainiac is the best lip stain I've tried to date. The product is better for cheeks but you have to work it in very quickly so the product doesn't dry before you can achieve an even color wash. I'm a high-maintenance person yet this product was still too high-maintenance for me.

Sheer Luck

Quick Take: long-lasting
Sheer Luck is a gorgeous color. The actual application is something that takes a little mastering. I am used to lip stains that are much easier to apply, but the color is what makes it great. I really like the suggestion I saw on another review of this product: wet a makeup sponge, roll the color onto it and apply to lips. It is not as dramatic this way, but it is lovely!
