Quick Take: soft shimmer
The first time I wore this I just mixed a small drop with my moisturizer and smoothed it all over my face. I got many compliments about my "tan" (which is funny bc I'm a light-skinned black girl) and how my face was glowing. My skin tends to get oily in my t-zone and this definitely made my skin oily after a few hours. Not really a problem bc i blotted, but I probably couldn't wear this every day for fear of breakouts.

This is a good product. I like mixing it with my foundation. However if you have oily skin like I do carry some powder or you'll be very shiny by the end of the day. Also the spout clogs and when you go to pump it, its squirts too much all over you.

I read 50 reviews stating this illuminator was amazing and wonderful..I was disappointed. The pump was not even pumping was the first defect. I know why people say it makes their skin dry..the formulation wasn't smooth it like running a rubber shoe on a surface it goes and then stops suddenly. I wouldn't recommend this illuminator.

Quick Take: soft shimmer, sheer coverage, gorgeous glow
I love to use this highlighter when my skin needs a little pick me up. It was especially helpful in adding a soft glow for special events during the winter, when I was super pale and a little dull-looking. I like to mix this with my moisturizer for an all over glow that shows through my makeup for that fresh-faced, lit from within look. This also works well as a regular highlighter on the cheek bones and eyebrow, if that's more your thing.

I got the pink tinted one and I absolutely love it!!! It's super easy to blend and can almost never over do the color since its build able coverage is so light. I've had a ton of compliments on it and it goes great on the brow bone and also in the corners of the eyes!! Definitely recommend this product for anyone who loves to highlight!!

I added a touch of this to my moisturizer, did not use any other makeup and headed to work.
I was actually told by a few people that I looked younger and radiant!!
I have since stopped using my foundation (was very light coverage) and just add this to my moisturizer or sunscreen...it blends beautifully with my very fair skin.
I use Glow and now use it everyday!!

Quick Take: a must have!!
I am makeup junkie. I have tons of it yet go barefaced almost everyday, that is, until I bought this! The first day I wore it I just added a bit to my moisturizer and I had a few people actually tell me that I looked younger! They couldn't say why, but that I did!! Now I have started doing a little more each day, like adding some mascara, a little eyeshadow, etc & I am finally enjoying my beauty supply!
This product is so easy & effective I look forward to using it. I have added it to my sunscreen, to foundation, and no matter what it works amazingly well! I am very very fair with super sensitive skin and this blends beautifully and has not caused me any problems at all! Try it, you will not regret it! Oh and a tiny bit goes a long way!!

For us 'lazy girls', add one drop to your moisturizer and mix and apply with fingers. Simple and instant radiance.
I received many compliments wearing just this along with mascara and a bit of lip gloss!
It is now part of my daily routine...

I can be lazy when it comes to makeup, so I love anything that makes my life easier. I read the reviews and decided to try this. What a brilliant decision on my part!! I have been adding this to my moisturizer...barely 1 full pump...then I mix them together and apply with my fingers. I had friends say that I looked well rested, that my Rosacea looked so much better, and a few people told me that I looked younger and had a "glow"!! I now apply this as a regular part of my routine. It's easy, great for my skin and has great results!!

I have fair skin with a hint of redness, but don't like heavy foundations, etc.
I purchased this and love it!
I add 1 drop to my daily moisturizer and it gives me a gorgeous glow!! I get some coverage, but the glow also makes any imperfections almost invisible!!
I will be using this everyday & the bottle will last a very long time...worth every penny!!

Luminizer to be mixed with foundation

I think the product description for this product is very accurate - it luminizes your face when blended into foundation. I've also mixed it with tinted moisturizer and BB cream and liked the results as well. It gives a nice sheen to the face. Be careful not to use too much because that can start to make the face look shiny (greasy). Also, when I use this product I don't set with powder - powder will take away the glow effect. If you need to set your makeup, I recommend using a setting spray. Note - I got the pink color and have fair skin.
I also tried to use this as a highlighter and failed. It was hard to blend and then kind of just disappeared into my face. But since that was not what the product was intended to do, I don't fault it.
Like other reviewers, I found the pump difficult to work. It doesn't allow you to control the amount of product - it always comes out in the same size glob, which happens to be too much product. I use about half as much so this can get wasteful. However, I still think the product is pretty affordable. Since I only use one pump at a time (and I don't use everyday), I think it will last me a while.

I bought this to use it on my arms, chest and shoulders for my friend's wedding since I was wearing a gold dress and I'm so white. It looks great! You need to blend it in well but it looks so good! It gives the ''I just spent the day at the beach drinking coconut water'' look. I never applied it to my face, so I don't know how that would look. My first choice was the Nars Laguna Illuminator, but I couldn't stand the smell (which I like to describe as ''cheap Barbie coconut''), so a girl at Sephora suggested this one and I'm really glad I bought it!

apple" look which Smashbox provides -- when you finally get it on your face! It's a really bad pump which tends to fling
the lotion across the room, and no matter how slowly you
depress the plunger, you get a projectile. Nice glow, however.

When you press the pump for the product to come out, it always comes out in giant squirts. So much gets wasted because of it. When it goes on, it is pretty. Love the way the light catches it on my face. Would look better with a tan!

Quick Take: light not cakey, blends well, perfect glow not oily looking at all
i originally purchased the darker shade of this during the summertime and tried using it with my foundation this winter but it turned out WAY orange-y. So i bought this one... and it's perfect! I use the darker one for a mild bronzer if I need it. I think I just love all of Smashbox's products, they've never let me down!

This product is worth the investment! Alone or mixed with moisturizer or better, foundation, you will glow! I'm over 40 and usually shy away from shimmer but in this case, it's a good thing! Comes out fast so be ready!
