This primer makes not only my liquid foundation, but powder foundation go on like a glove. It controls shine, but not as much as I would like. It really does keep your make up in place ALL day, even when I am running around because I have to walk a lot in my job. If you are looking for something that keeps shine at bay, you might want to invest in a different product, but if you just want a good overall primer this is a must!

Love the velvet feel of this primer and how soft and lightweight it is. Makes my oily skin look like a matte dream! Had small breakout ... unsure if just coincidence it happened after use.

Love the way this feels, smooths the face, and helps cover up my enormous pores. I use only a tiny amt, dime for the whole face and it spread it with a brush. Ive had the sample size for over 5 uses.

Love this primer! It makes my skin feel amazing and really helps hold my foundation well. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because if I put too much on, especially around my nose, it makes my skin feel kind of oily. Otherwise, it's awesome.

I hated this stuff. This primer always rolled up on my skin. I tried to apply less and then more and all sorts of combinations and could never get it to stay put. it obviously works for a lot of people, but not for my combination skin

I can't begin to tell how excited I am about this product. My face feels like it did 15 years ago. I am 62 and my have lost that "young" feel to my skin. When I apply this foundation primer my makeup goes on smoothly and seems to smooth out the wrinkles. It keeps my make up from caking in the lines so I look young again - WOO HOO!

I have tried several brands of primer....Hourglass Mineral Veil, Benefit Porefessional, and Sephora to name a few. None of these compare to Smashbox in my opinion. This is THE ONE....my absolute go to. My skin has never felt better.

This is the best primer still. I keep wanting to find a cheaper version, but as they say you get what you pay for. And this for three years now, still is worth every penny! It is lightweight, evens out my skin, shrinks my pores, and keeps the oil at bay and never breaks out my very sensitive skin!

I love, love, love Smashbox's foundation primers. I've tried them all. I keep a travel size of the SPF one for when I need it, which is rare. This is my favorite every day primer though. It feels great on my skin, not drying at all, but creates a long lasting layer for my foundation.

Quick Take: too thin of a consistancy in the full size tube.
I received a sample size of the Photo Finish Primer (pink). Loved it. Because I can be prone to an occasional outbreak (usually on the tip of my nose!) I thought I would try the oil free. The consistency was very runny and I didn't care for the results, so I returned it for the (pink) primer. I experienced the same problem with the full size purchase of the pink primer. I read in a recent review that someone else experienced the same issue. The consistency of the pink primer in the "sample" size was thicker compared to the full size. I was hoping if I shook the tube it would mix to a thicker consistency. But to no avail....same problem. I guess I will have to return this one as well and wait for another "sample". The sample in the thicker consistency is amazing and does a great job filling in pores and giving foundation an even appearance. Disappointed :(
