Waxy oil, sits on top of skin
-04.18.17
Quick Take: waxy, sits on skin
After reading the reviews I thought this product would be perfect for my dry flaky, dehydrated skin from RetinA Micro. Sadly this was useless, all id did was sit on the skin, not helping my dryness at all, like a film over dry skin. I tried applying it to damp skin to see if that made a difference, nothing. The plain cream in this range is much better.

urrently on isotretinoin (used to go by the name Accutane) and have the super dry, cracking skin commonly associated with that. The medication has done absolute wonders but the dryness can be very difficult to tolerate and manage. I use this both alone and in combination with my trusty tub of Cetaphil cream. This comes with a little plastic spatula so you don't have to stick your fingers in the pot. A little (we're talking pea size amount) goes a long way. It warms up and melts quickly, spreads evenly and absorbs nicely. As stated above, it DOES form a barrier to prevent loss of moisture (that's an occlusive agent) so that might be what some are having issues with. Personally, I like that. It has something in it that also gives it this almost dry oil feeling, ensuring that it doesn't feel greasy on the skin. And finally the scent. It's got geranium in it, which I LOVE. Geranium has a rosy, herbal scent that is very calming and soothing. It calls to mind a spa for me. Overall, awesome product and great for dry skins!

pretty good
-01.16.17
First off, I'm not an expert but the actual ceramide ingredient isn't very high up on the list so i'm not sure if it's giving that much benefit but? Anyway I do like this balm. The packaging is nice to have but not travel friendly cause it's a fairly weighty jar. I love using this for a dewy effect on the eyes and cheek bones. Doesn't feel sticky, melts right in for a natural glossy look. I tried to use it as a lip balm but that's when the scent really got to me. It's pretty medicinal and herbal. If you're looking to get a dewy look i'd recommend this. Just don't go overboard.

this saved my skin from winter
-01.12.17
This saved my horribly dry peeling skin. I got a sample of this and the ceramidin serum from a SA and I'll be forever thankful for how it made my winter-shocked skin normal again! The serum goes on first, and then the oil balm. I love dr.jart
