Disgusting
-04.16.18
Sugar dissolves pretty fast and it tastes awful! I know you’re not supposed to eat it, but it’s bound to get in your mouth and when it does it’s bad! Doesn’t work well either. Highly recommend their lip mask though, keeps me from even needing a scrub often.

Good, but not worth the price
-04.15.18
The lip scrub worked well; definitely follow the instructions and the demonstration video on Sephora's website. I liked the smell, so it didn't bother me, and my lips were so smooth and still felt hydrated.
However, that being said, I honestly didn't feel like this was a great value. Sephora's honey lip scrub is easier to use, works just as well, and comes with about 3x the product for about 1/3 of the cost.

a little disappointed
-04.14.18
It’s my first time using a Bite product, and I must admit I’m a little disappointed... The scrub has so much more agave than the sugar, it’s so watery it’s barely scrubbing dead skin off. I tried two or three times in a row and no difference on my lips. I also happened to get some in my mouth (it was so watery) and the taste was horrible, so bitter it almost made me throw up.

Great when using it correctly.

I got a button pack of this and the lip balm in the bday gift and I've tried the scrub before and I loved it. this time I used it correctly and it leaves my liquid matte lipstick-caused dry wrinkled lips so smooth and soft. a little goes a long way so scrub first, then apply water which makes the oils emollient and easy to remove then use the sugar crystals by themselves to buff and polish the surface. I'm planning on getting the full size.

Use the water!

I agree with other reviewers who have emphasized how important it is to follow the instructions. I received this scrub as a sample with one of my Sephora purchases and no instructions were provided, so I just following what I would normally do (apply to dry lips and rinse off). I wasn't impressed, it felt like there were maybe 6 sugar granules in a bunch of goop. Then I came online and read the reviews stating you have to add water, and tried again. Wow! What a difference! The sugar granules really aren't the star player here, it's whatever exfoliating enzymes are in the goop that really do the work, and the water activates them. I've stretched my sample out to 4 uses and feel it's gentle and effective for every other day or every few days. I still plan to use my more "heavy duty" Diva lip scrubbie for when my lips get particularly bad in summer (I live in the desert), but this Agave scrub will be perfect for maintenance in between dry spells.
